I have never heard a bad word about him since he was set free.

I am so afraid that I am about to be blasted for what I am about to write here, but I am going to anyway.
While I have a little bit of respect for the man for his work in ending apartheid in South Africa, there are some things that he did or condoned prior to his imprisonment that were gruesome and terrible, which makes my overall impression of the man a very negative one.
