Do You think St. Paul was ever in England?

I was asking a serious question dogsgod. There are Christian legends and traditions about St. Paul traveling to England and Spain.

It was on fire when I laid down on it.
I've never read anything substantial that convinced me that St Paul was ever in what is now known as the United Kingdom. If you have any credible sources I'd be happy to take a look at them.

Done here.
I don't know of any reason to think he was. We don't have any evidence at all of Christianity in Britain before the 2nd century, and we don't have any archaeological evidence before the 3rd century.

As far as legends go, I think the legends of St. Joseph of Arimathea at Glastonbury are more interesting, though not more credible.

I would say no. Paul records a great deal of his travels. Now, it is true that he could have gone before he started his mission, but I think that is quite unlikely.

It is also true that we are not for sure about his death, but it seems pretty clear that he died around Rome. I see no real evidence for him to have gone to England, especially since from all that we know of him, he doesn't mention it and doesn't mention any plan of it.

Tradition says that Paul may have made it to Spain. That's all we know.
