Yes. To some extent, the brain sends the signals needed by various body parts, the signals allow the parts to function correctly.

The mind, body and soul/spirit are all one.
If there is anything psychic, it comes from the awareness and utilization of this.

I think everything important comes from our subtle astral and mental bodies. The physical body and brain allows us to operate and experience the joys and challenges of physical plane experiences.
