Do you think this idea for a game would be fun, or even work?

"It was a dark and stormy night...

Wait, no it wasn't. It was 3 in the afternoon on a slightly overcast day. Where the hell am I!? How the hell did I get here!? Where the hell are my shoes!?

When am I going to learn not to mix cough syrup and rollaids!?"

That's straight from Quagmire's diary!

I admit I submitted it, but I think I was channelling when I wrote it. I was in some kind of trance and for a minute it was like I was living in a hollow tree and my pen was moving all on its own. Freaky.

It's very good.

Although I don't understand what's so freaky about living in a hollow tree with a haunted pen.

And another:

"Murphy saw the creature out of the corner of his eye: it moved faster than he thought was possible, but this sort of thing had become normal the past few weeks. He stepped out into the street, where the pouring rain slowly drowned the city. A homeless man shuffled into an alleyway, and Murphy wanted to shout at him not to go there. The creature had gone that way.
Murphy hurried to the alley, but it was empty. The cascading rain came down in small waterfalls, washing away the filth of the polluted alleyway. He heard a low growl. It was close. He spotted the creature's red eyes glowing in the distance. It was waiting behind a dumpster not far from where Murphy was standing.
Murphy drew his weapon, but it was too late. The creature lunged, its claws still stained with the blood of its previous victim. Murphy yelled, but it was no good. He barely had a chance to realize what was happening to him. And then, he knew nothing."

Make that two:

"The young woman was instantly wide awake and leaping off her hard bunk. From above she heard the shouts of sailors, the screeching of the wind and hammering of the waves. She rushed out of her cabin on to the deck. In one sweeping glace she took in the entire scene. The helmsman was struggling to keep the boat cutting through the waves, her first mate was screaming orders at two sailors up the mast as they tried to take down sail.

She knew her first mate could deal with the sails but the helmsman was new and still being trained. She sprinted down towards him in a way only one who has spent their entire life at sea can, without the slightest hesitation, managing to almost effortlessly keep her balance.

Just as she got to the helm a wave struck the boat broadside, the water rushing over the deck sweeping off everything an everyone not secured down. She got thrown hard against the railing. That was when everything went dark."

"Riddler

I am the pure heart that lives within every villain,
And the cold savagery that lives within every hero.
I am the shadow of stars,
The light shining from black holes.
A mountainous stream and a soft trickling wildfire,
Flowing through wind and rock alike.
I am the follower of fools and the leader of wisemen,
The damned angel and the holy demon,
Saint and sinner all at once.

I bring nightmares to dreamers and dreams to the nightmarish.
Married to the day and engaged to the night,
I live though I am dead,
And die so that I may live.
I cry when I am happy and laugh when I am sad,
But smile for no reason at all.
A sensible being who makes no sense at all,
A lover of folly and the folly of perfection.
I exist though I am unreal,
I am real but don’t exist.
I am in every living thing,
Though I am no one, but me.

I could go on seeing as my time is endless,
Yet time is so fleeting I fear I’ve not enough.
So, vile friend, I must be off,
You’ll understand my words someday.
Till then, dear foe, I say farewell
And indeed I say hello."
