"They"? I think you need a "basics in economy 101" lesson. Do you know who creates fiat money, and how?
I’ve always wondered just what is the backing of fiat currency, especially when all they do is “print more money and give it away”. At some point it translates into hyper-inflation.
If it is metal backing, though it can fluctuate, you have an asset whereas the other does not. Tell a bank that you collateral is just “print more money” and they will laugh at you. No… an asset is required. People don’t understand how volatile our system really is and it will bite hard sooner or later.
