Do you believe there will be a judgement day to question your deeds on earth ?

If you mean in the sense of an external Deity condemning me to hell or admitting me to heaven, then no.

For me it functions almost like a self-review. We judge ourselves, seeing our own life's actions from an objective viewpoint. Through this, God "judges" us but really it is a case of us seeing what we really are or rather "were" in life.

Hell and heaven are for me states of being rather than places.

In terms of an afterlife in general, I don't so much "wish" for one - I simply believe that there is one based upon the fact that for me the "mind" is distinct from the "brain"; consciousness in my opinion is not produced by the brain but rather is filtered through it but is extraneous to it. Therefore when the brain shuts down, the conscious mind continues to exist. I could compare it to a television signal and the TV itself. The TV can stop working and the screen go fuzzy, yet the signal is still there it simply can no longer filter through the TV.

No.

Do you wish to be back again for life in the hereafter and face the judgement ?

I don't know what you mean by this.

Do you wish there will be no afterlife ?

I believe in an afterlife, as well as reincarnation.

Most religions built on judgmental deities don't make much sense to me, logically or ethically.

I don't really care too much if there is an afterlife or not. Part of me thinks it would be nice if people that didn't get much of a chance for happiness or life in this world could be alive in some other way for a while, but overall I think people have too much of a focus on speculative afterlives than they do on this life.

Whatever happens happens. I learnt that a long time ago. Make your peace and go on. Some part of me does hope there is an afterlife.

I don't much care whether or not there's an afterlife, but if I could choose, I would choose oblivion for myself.

Personally I think oblivion is okay but my first choice would be to spend a lifetime somewhere like the fictional moon Pandora.

Pretty awesome, imo.

1)If there is a judgement day, whatever rules this world sure as hell has no right to judge me after the **** job they've done ruling this planet.

2)If there is an afterlife, I can care less if I don't get to be part of it. I've had a good life so far and it will only get better. I plan on accomplishing all my goals in this life, so I won't need an afterlife to feel that what I've done has paid off for me. I definitely won't spend the only life I'm guaranteed bowing and scraping to some pompous douche of a god in hopes that he throws me a bone in an afterlife that may or may not exist.

What about Titanic without the crash instead? Sorry I had to go there... James Cameron would agree I am sure. Cheers.

James Cameron= most overrated director of all time. Titanic was absolute crap. I LOVED the visuals in Avatar, but once you get over the beautiful visuals, you realize it's just Pocahontas in space.

Well, you've got a point. But I'm 56, I want a break from taxes. So oblivion's for me!

Do you 'know' or believe?
I do not know what an afterlife would be like - so it would depend on what the afterlife is like.

Who has the authority to sit in judgement of me - how do they claim this authority and why I should I recognize that authority?

What are the possible outcomes of judgement and according to what measure shall judgement occur - what are the factors that might influence said judgement?

1. To me, every Messenger of God initiates judgement day, wherein the people of the age receive judgement.

2. I wish for a position in the hereafter, but I like to hope that I'm not so attached to the material realm as to wish to return to the dust heap to serve out eternity.

3. No, I love my family and friends, it would be nice if we could all live a good life and remain united forever.

Kind regards :)
