Some people believe that the man of sin will come from Russia. This thread is about the false prophet who is the religious aspect of the demonic duo.

I really don't see Russia, or any Russian, as Gog, but I suppose anything is possible. My understanding of prophecy is that the end-time demonic duo comes from the geographical area of Babylon.

Actually none of them are Russian. One of them I believe is EU representative.

There is a biblical criteria for distinguishing between true and false prophets. Also, most Christians have a false perception of prophets AND false prophets. And so do you.
The Bible is based on and written by false prophets.
Really, it's that simple. People make up stuff, blend it with reality, and claim God said it. When some little bit turns out to be true they assert that they know more about God than I do.
And when the Bible is wrong, they say I don't have enough Faith to understand why the Bible says that.

In Islamic book I read that Christianity is the closest religion to Islam.

Islam is counterfeit Christianity. Islam has a false book, the Koran. Islam has a false god, Allah. Islam has a false prophet, Muhammad. Islam has a false returning messiah, the Mahdi. Islam has a false jesus called, the Muslim jesus. Islam has a false prophetic scenario. And to think. ISIS believes that Jesus Christ will return to help them defeat the dajjal, who is the Islamic antichrist, who is very likely the biblical anti-christ.

That the False Prophet is Among us.. and thriving

Huh? Should.... I care about that for some reason, as a person belonging to a non-Abrahamic religion that doesn't recognize the idea of prophets in the first place?

So even if I did post the biblical criteria for a true prophet you wouldn't believe it anyway. So it's no use.

Correct.
First explain to us why God can't just tell everyone the same thing at the same time. Why is He limited to the ancient method of telling one guy and expecting the rest of us to pick the one true prophet out of the forest of false ones.
Then we can discuss what you think God meant by whatever He said to whoever you think is the true prophet.

Even if God did, what makes you think people would believe anyway? How can God tell eveyone the same thing at the same time anyway? The Old and New Testament prophets used the terminology available to them at the time to prophesy. It isn't like God would tell a prophet that a nuclear weapon would detonate in 1945. If he did, then no faith would be required to believe rendering faith in the creator, and prophecy, useless.

Why is He limited to the ancient method of telling one guy and expecting the rest of us to pick the one true prophet out of the forest of false ones.
Because the bible is an ancient book! There are 12 minor prophets and four major prophets in the bible, and all of them are TRUE prophets, regardless of what you think. Prophets were also mentioned in the first century Didache, which means that they were still "in use" after 70 AD, but later became, 'obsolete.' There are no longer any prophets. All prophecy's have been given. The average Christian tends to associate 'prophets' with people who predict the future, but that's not always so. They also associate the gift of 'prophecy' with prophets, but that too is 'not so.'
Then we can discuss what you think God meant by whatever He said to whoever you think is the true prophet.

Muslim's believe that "the Prophet like unto Moses" is Muhammad. We as Christians know that it's Jesus making Islamic prophecy FALSE! Pick a prophecy, but I doubt that'll get anywhere since your an unbeliever.
