I find it disgusting how people want to make sexual assault a partisan issue. Anyone who defends or denounces the accused based solely on their political affiliation need a good, solid punch to the throat. Trump, Bill Clinton, Franken, Roy Moore, Bush Sr. etc. doesn't matter what party they belong to, If truly guilty then they're scum bags who should've been punished for their crimes.
Trump, someone who had admitted to sexual assault himself ("grab 'em by the *****!") stayed silent on Roy Moore yet was quick to pounce on Al Franken, which is a display of blatant hypocrisy. It takes an absolute absence of integrity to support Trump at this point.

I meant anyone, not specifically this thread or even the forum. I don't care how loyal someone is to their party, an ethical line should always be drawn. This goes for any Dems too who would brush any serious misdeeds of their favored politicians under the rug.

Not defending Trump, but making a totally crass general statement is not admitting to sexual harassment. I, like many of us of both sexes, have made stupid statements that I wish I had never said. Compare this to a picture of a sitting US Senator fondling the breasts of a sleeping woman and I think you can see a major difference.

Sure. Don't you think if there were any real dirt on Trump it would have surfaced by now? And, no, I don't think Roy Moore is innocent because he's a Republican (*ahem* your bias is showing). I believe everyone is innocent until proven guilty. Don't you?

Of course people are innocent until proven guilty, but evidence can be damning, as is the case with most of these scandals. I just find it funny how people are quicker to jump on some than others based on their political affiliation.

It’s not even false equivalence. It’s simple distraction. No one’s accused Biden of anything. But let’s talk about whether we think Biden will eventually be accused rather than the super creepy Alabaman Republican guy running for Senate that’s already been accused by like 30 women.

I'm not saying Moore didn't do these things. If he did I'll be the first to ask for his worthless hide. I'm saying we all enjoy the right to the presumption of innocence in this country. If this concept can be thrown out the door simply because you want someone to be guilty then we are all in trouble.
