Does life get easier for each generation or harder?

I believe that there are more oppurtunities in each generation to make something of yourself, life in most respects is getting easier.
However, there are so many choices that people are often bamboozled with where to begin, which can lead to non commital and mediocrity.

im not sure about life gettign better or harder for each new generation - simply because im apart of my generation and non other

i would guess that we today have more conveniences (spelling?) with computers, mobiles etc

is education getting better? id say yes, but less people value it - those that do incidentlly get good results and their is such a wide range of courses to do (im a bit of a learning nerd im affraid lol)

i think that with a good education you have the basis to go and do anything! and like i said above - education is getting better - its just that a lot of people dont appreciate it like me
