By money I don't mean the money necessary for survival in a developed country. By money I mean huge amount of money. More than 500 dollars\euros per week.

My question is: does owning lots of money make people happy?
By people I mean you, not the others

As long as you show it who's boss. With great money comes great responsibility.

It is like a weapon or buffet table...potential to do good things or lots of damage.

I don't think expensive things can make people happy. One can be happy with little, and with very cheap things

Have you ever been poor? That sort of talk is usually used by people who want to basically tell poor people to be quiet and be happy being poor.

Of course owning lot of money will make me happy, But it doesn't guarantee happiness because happiness is the the thing which one gets by great fortune. That I think, That I have to think :)

Nobody who has ever been poor, or known true poverty will tell you that money does not make you happy.

Whatever your live's circumstances, it is better to have it than not.

Well, it's not my fault if American economy is founded upon devilish principles like competition, law of the fittest, eternal Capitalistic growth.

the presence of rich people unavoidably implies the presence of poor people.
If there were no rich people, there would be no poor people, but only one economic class

Everybody criticizes the Orwell's Big Brother model. But unfortunately it is necessary. A Big Brother has to prevent the rich from becoming richer at cost of the lower classes' poverty

Yeah, being poor does suck. You can be happy but there is definitely more strain on the heart and the brain. Enough income and resources to handle well-being, security, etc. should be the minimum we accept and strive for - in my opinion.

I need to turn this around ...
Owning lots of money does not make people unhappy.
So, although I know lots of rich unhappy folks, these people are unhappy for many other reasons.
But I do know many poor people who struggle, and their happiness would be wonderful to behold if they could keep warm in winter, or eat better, or have a little more security.

Try waiting for the bailiffs to put you out, and then try having the funds to keep them away. The difference can be 'happiness'.

Preaching to the choir. I'm a revolutionary anti-capitalist. I'm just not into the shaming of poor people for daring to want more than just being poor and resenting the rich over it.

You didn't read my explanation below the poll. I didn't talk about extreme poverty. I talked about owning the money necessary for survival.
That is you live decently, but you don't save any money
