Personal opinions aside, is there any scientific evidence for the contention that pornography leads to rape? If so, what is the evidence? And is the evidence compelling?

I would just hope that the increased and easy access to porn has lowered the incidences of rape.That's all..then I would feed my 3 sons and grandsons a steady feed of porn just to be a good mommy and grandma..

So far as I know, there science on the subject is inconclusive so far. There are some studies that support the notion access to porn leads to fewer sex crimes, and some studies that suggest otherwise. But nothing as yet conclusive either way. At least, that's my understanding of the current situation.

The way I see it, most people have seen porn. That rapists tend to watch porn more often is merely an indication that they are more obsessed about sex than the average person.

being more obsessed about sex than the avarage person does not at all directly transfers to being a rapist IMHO. Unless you have low self restraint and lack of empathy paired with it.

I'm under the impression Bundy was trying to BS his way out of the death penalty by blaming his crimes on porn, rather than take full responsibility for them. What do you think?
