So isn’t it about time someone issue a formal apology for this? This infected over 500 million people worldwide. Millions died. And the country where this virus originated deliberately prevented necessary information from being reported.

Should there be an official apology?

You gonna wake the dead for this to happen? Apologies from anyone else are basically meaningless and empty gestures at best. It's the past, everyone involved is dead, time to move on.
Do you think they should have apologized 100 years ago?

'No one believes the so-called “Spanish flu” originated in Spain.

The pandemic likely acquired this nickname because of World War I, which was in full swing at the time. The major countries involved in the war were keen to avoid encouraging their enemies, so reports of the extent of the flu were suppressed in Germany, Austria, France, the United Kingdom and the U.S. By contrast, neutral Spain had no need to keep the flu under wraps. That created the false impression that Spain was bearing the brunt of the disease.

In fact, the geographic origin of the flu is debated to this day, though hypotheses have suggested East Asia, Europe and even Kansas.'

Which country was that? As I understand it, we simply don't know where this one originated. Spain didn't have wartime censorship, so reported it when other countries didn't.

I do think China should apologize for all of the unnecessary suffering their lifestyle creates through deadly biological phenomena. Plague, Spanish Flu, Coronavirus, when will the madmen of the east be stopped?

The above should only be read and understood as satire.

First and foremost I would like an apology from those raping, pillaging, looting, murderin' Vikings.

The list of things "people from centuries ago" should apologize for is epic!

Why is this one important?
Tom
Maybe we should pretend that'll be a real proposal, get all the hyper partisan con and lib hacks fighting over who should apologize or not and who should and shouldn't get them, they'll give each other corona, and then we can quarantine then on an island under a "set it and forget it" type of condition.
