Your local loco.
I have a thought that perhaps religion is the natural result of the fear of death.

I just wanted to make a poll asking if your religious or spiritual beliefs gives you peace when it comes to the topic of death. I just want to see if the correlation is there, it doesn’t prove anything. Perhaps your spiritual beliefs are unrelated to death, though, death and spirituality go hand in hand it seems.

I believe that the thetan is an immortal spiritual being and that also I won't have issues in the land of the dead due to all the gods I have been worshiping. Depending on how my life is going at the time of death I will probably hesitate to give it up, but it is inevitable regardless of anything else.

But I wonder, if my spiritual beliefs did not give me peace about death (Or something) then why even have them? I don't think existential dread is healthy.

I used to be a Christian and was ever fearful of going to hell.
However, I don't believe in such things anymore. I'm not religious any more and have formed my own thoughts.
I basically don't know what is beyond the threshold of this life once I die, so, I'm not going to live my life being worried about it.
I'll find out when it comes to that. The important thing is here and now.
So why waste this life worrying about the next one when we don't know what the next one holds, if it even holds anything?
I've come to this realization recently, and it has brought me peace.

All you need is love.
Renouncing my Christian faith and rejecting what I consider to be Christianity's fearmongering tactics (i.e., being afraid of allegedly sinning against God, fear of God's wrath, and fear of going to hell), as well as becoming a spiritualist, tremendously relieved my fear of death. I was so terrified of dying when I was a Christian. I feared dying in unrepentant sin and going to hell. I'm not a Christian anymore, so that no longer scares me. It's been such a relief for me.

By understanding that nature and the universe operate in cycles of change and transformation, I'm not sure I really believe in death.
