Dramatic Music in Videos needs to END

Cacotopia

Let's go full Trottle
It hollows the impact of the actual event. It's cringe worthy like we needed that extra nonsense to make us feel more? Music overlaying of almost any kind in real life videos only serves to dull the experience of the event in my opinion.

Which is better?

or this trash?

I think the prior, the as is is better than the fabricated feeling they try to give people.

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
I feel like that with most TV shows. Especially shows that show people dealing with health issues, victims of crime, or sensationalized news with a soundtrack booming in the background or sympathetic violin type music.

It's tacky more often than not.

This is sort of related. Paranormal investigators want to be taken seriously as professionals, but on their various reality shows will play spooky music, ham it up for the camera, and a lot of other things they shouldn't do (get startled, commerical break, then resume and oh look it was just a bat) if they wanted to be regarded as a legitimate field.

I think that in drama you do need music but it should be used responsibly. In many big productions, like, say, the Lord Of The Rings, often you can't hear the dialogue over the music itself and that's extremely annoying.

The crap music that some people play as a background for the personal videos like on YouTube are most often just awful. It may be your favorite rap song and it may even have something to do with the subject of the video but does it really need to blare over everything?

They are both pieces of art trying to give fabricated feelings. The camera-work and editing in the first is more polished.
