Dreams

Anyone had any cool dreams lately? Personally, dreams fascinate me. The only thing uniform about them is that they seem to be completely random all the time--my friend was just telling me about a dream she had where she was taken on a tour of ancient China by a lime green teddy bear!

Anyone ever had a dream come true?...Literally? This happens to me from time to time. It used to happen all the time when I was little, but has slowed down a little since I've gotten older (and gotten into the habit of getting less sleep!). I'll share one with you from back in the day:

A couple of my cousins and I went on a little roadtrip with my grandparents in the motor home when I was about 9. Anyhow, one night I had a dream that I was looking at a pen of white goat-looking animals. A man with an orange feed scoop came to feed them, and when he opened the gate, one got out and ran up this lane that was between two of the pens. The next day (the REAL next day, haha, the dream's over now) we all went to this local zoo. As we were looking around, we came upon a pen of albino pygmy-deer. A man with an orange feed scoop opened the gate, and one of the deer got out ran up the lane--just like in my dream!!

So share your crazy dreams--if anything for a good laugh and quick peek at your inner insanity!

I have weird dreams alllll the time. I wake up and wonder where the hell they came from, cause they usually make absolutely no sense to me. If I'm at work, and I say "I had this dream last night...", everybody stops to listen, cause it's usually crazy lol. I won't go into any of those right now, cause I'm about to go to bed, but I will share one of the dreams I had, that later happened in real life...

I dreamt that I was sitting on my loungeroom floor, sorting through bottles of essential oils, writing down what I had, and what I needed to buy. The radio was on, and the Dire Straits song "Sultans of Swing" was playing. The phone rang, and it was my mum, asking if I would be home the next day, cause she was coming over (she lives an hour away). Well, about a month later, that exact scenario happened - right down to the same line in the song that was playing when the phone rang. When I picked up the phone and it was mum, I got a little freaked out and told her about the dream...she just laughed. I dream things that come true a lot, but it's usually just 'moments', like that...not a whole day or anything lol.

Ok, here's a weird dream, I had it last night...

I'm at the farm before the farm my mum's on now (I lived there from roughly age 9-16, and it's always the house I dream of when I'm at 'Mum's' or 'home' in a dream), and I'm down at the back shed near the stock yards. It's getting dark, and I'm anxious to get back to the house. I'm there with a girl I work with, Stacey (she's very annoying and always asking me stupid questions she already knows the answer to  ), and we have to get something from the shed (I don't remember what though...the dream is a bit fuzzy now). I look past the shed, making sure nothing is around, then quickly duck inside for whatever it is I have to get. I hear a noise, and stand just inside the door, hoping the animal won't see me (I know it's an animal, but not what it is). Well, I'm standing next to the door, with my back to the big drums full of grains and horse feed that are lined up against the wall. I'm holding my breath, heart pounding, and then I see this HUGE cougar come in the door. She has several cubs with her too. I'm standing stock still, hoping she'll just ignore me, but she comes right up to me and looks at me with this "well, are you gonna get out of my way?" look on her face. So I lean forward, and she jumps up onto the drums and walks along them and up to a ledge, with cubs following. They sit down and make themselves comfortable. I go to grab whatever it was I was supposed to get, and I see this thing like a hand-held computer game, sitting on one of the drums. I pick it up, and it starts printing out little slips of paper, and one has my mum's name and a little cartoon pic of her on it, with a couple things written after that (don't remember what now). More pieces of paper come out, with names and pics of people I know, and it says where they are, and their "status". One prints out with my name on it, and it says I am going to have trouble on question 9 of my tax return (which is tax deductions...at least it was in my dream lol don't know about real life). I look back over a couple of the print outs of other people, and they say the same thing. So, I find what it is I have to take back to the house, and go out the door, and Stacey is there (her arms also loaded up), and she says she saw something in the paddock beyond the shed. Well, I look out, and with its back to us, walking around in the brackern fern, is a silver backed gorilla. I tell Stacey we have to be really quiet, and run back to the house as quickly as we can, and maybe the gorilla won't see us. Well, good ol' Stace starts making monkey noises. So I make a run for it, telling her to shut up (she just gets louder), and we are almost back to the house when the gorilla spots us and charges us. I stop and turn around, and the gorilla has the head of a girl I went to school with, Marlene. She wants to come inside the house, and I don't want to let her lol. I back into the house yard (have no idea where Stacey went at this point), and Mum and my stepfather are outside the back door. Mum is painting words on a sign, and my stepfather is painting words on the house. I tell mum we have to go inside, pointing out the gorilla/Marlene, and she looks up at her and says "I told you already, you're not coming in here", rolls her eyes, and goes back to painting her sign. I don't remember any more after that...

I had a dream that came true once....in my dream I went to the kitchen and toasted an Eggo waffle. In the morning, there was a cold, toasted waffle...turns out I had been sleepwalking.

I have actually had dreams before where I realized that I was dreaming. In one dream I started flying around. In another dream, witches were chasing me, and suddenly I thought....wait a minute...witches aren't real! I became conscious of the fact that this was a dream, and that I could make anything happen that I wanted to. So I pointed at the witches with my index finger, vaporizing them lol

I'm not sure I've ever realised I was dreaming before...I have many dreams where I'm being chased by psychos trying to kill me, it would be handy to realise I was dreaming and turn it around lol. About a month ago I dreamt I was asleep and dreaming, so I had a dream within a dream. That was a really good night's sleep lol. And I remember a few years ago, I spent the night dreaming that I was awake trying to go to sleep. That was a really crappy night's sleep. And I really hate dreaming I'm at work all night. The last thing I want to do when I wake up at 4am, after one of those dreams, is get up to go to work.

I love dreams where you're flying! I have this one that occurrs every now and then. I'm standing on this ledge dressed all up in gear like I'm going to go parachuteing or something, only my little suit is a lot more high-tech. The ledge is at the top of this monstrously huge circular looking chamber...the closest I can come to describe it is the big-*** room where Queen Amidala and the gang go to petition to the Senate or whatever in the newest Star Wars movies--only the walls are smooth (not full of other ledges, like in the movie) and it's a tad dark. Anyhow, I'm actually standing on the ledge with this guy. Somewhere in the back of my mind, I know he's here to teach me to fly and help me out. He looks at me and takes my hand, and together we just jump out off the ledge. We don't just fall though...I guess in this room there is no gravity, because we zoom around and stuff. It's a very fun dream.

I've tried to take control of my dreams before kind of, but whenever I try to, I get this picture of me standing in this field, and then the earth cracks open like it's an earthquake and swallows me up. It evokes a "Jeez, sorry I asked...chill out and carry on then I guess...I won't try to intrude again" kinda response from me, lol. It's very cool that you can take control of some of your dreams like that though, Mr. Spinkles. I'm trying to think what I would do if I could master that ability...*blushes*...yikes! Alright, that's enough thinking I think!

I saw my future husband in a dream once...I actually didn't see him per se...you know how you can see people but you can't remember their faces in the morning? That's what it was like. Perhaps I'll tell that dream later...

mrscarrdero is fantastic at remembering her dreams and does not mind telling me about them when we wake up no matter how long they take. Sometimes I look like Archie Bunker after Edith tells him one of her stories but I do not think it is because I am bored but am actually astonished that she retained that much information about these dreams when she wakes up. Her dreams also seem to have a precognitive aspect to them.

I love those stories cool thread. I had my latest strange dream on 1/18/04. I was sitting in a small library. The carpet was a dull red non fuzzy carpet. Some tables were round some were square some were retangles. The bookshelves were made of oak and the varnish didnt darken the wood very much. Their were windows all around the room but only the upper part so one would have to tiptoe or be on a ladder to see outside. I could not see out in my dream but the rays from the sun were shining into the room. There were at least two people walking around and one person behind the checkout counter. I can't remember much about him except he was a man.

I was sitting at a square shaped table and two woman were sitting across from me. They were fair skinned make ligh complextion spanish skin (like hope's complextion) with dark dark black hair pulled back into a pony tail. They were sitting both across from and next to one another but not touching Both had matching lipstick and blush on but no glasses. They were both staring at me.

The one on the right said, "Robert you do believe in God." I said, "No I lost my belief in God." The one on the left said, "You do know there is a God." I said "No." The one on the left said, "Robert there is a God." I remember looking around the library at this point and thinking...you gotta be kidding me.....The one on the right spoke again, "There is a God."

Than my poddle buddy licked my face....waking me up......

I have the flu or something right now, and went to bed pretty sick a couple nights ago. I attribute this particular dream to the fever, because I haven't remembered a dream for some time now, and I rarely (if ever) have nightmares (at least ones that I can't control).

THE DREAM: I was out for a walk in my neighborhood, only it wasn't my neighborhood. I walked a few streets down from my house, and promply got lost. When I tried to turn around to retrace my steps and go home, I saw someone standing on the street corner, just standing on the sidewalk, not doing anything. I don't remember much about him, but for some reason he absolutely terrified me. So I ran, and knew without a doubt that he was chasing me. I tried to run home but still couldn't recognize any of the streets. I'm not sure what exactly happened during the chase, but i woke up shaking. It wasn't so much that the dream or anything in it was terrifying... it just had that feeling of WRONGNESS that scares the crap out of me.

I remember a dream I had when I was little, I think 4 or 5 years old. I was being chased by a HUGE snake and ran into my room. The snake got through my door and all I could think to do in order to escape was to fly out my window. I started flying out the window and the snake flew after me and chased me around in the air above my yard. Noone was tryng to help me. Thankfully I was able to wake myself up.

I really hate dreams where I get attacked by cats. I love cats but these dreams feel so real and I wake up with pains everywhere the cats attacked. I have had dreams where I ate crayons and glass and woke up with a yucky taste in my mouth afterwards.

My favorite dreams are ones where I am being chased by something bad and can turn around and cast a spell to stop it or change it to good.

i've had one dream where i realized it was a dream. i then spent the rest of the dream trying figure out how to wake up.

my dreams are always random. the only dream i can remember that wasn't random was this one where a zombie outbreak happened and the whole dream i was hiding and running from them. it was the most real dream i've ever had too. i'm also a chronic sleep-walker and i talk in my sleep.

I also had a dream about living in Israel, and missing my bus stop on the way back to my home. There weren't any signs or anything i just KNEW that i was in Israel somewhere, maybe Jerusalem since it felt like an urban area.

I'm back!
i had a wierd dream last night. people were preparing my marriage to an indian gal. SCARY! i knew it was a girl, but i dont know who it was, as almost all aranged marriages are, but i didnt feel any objection to it, i guess the whole marriage thing is appealing to me, but ive always wanted to be with a guy.

my hindu astrology thing (in real life, several years ago) said i will get an arranged marriage. and for my older bro, it said he will have a love marriage.

the scary thing is that hindu astrology does work and is true. the question is, will i get married to a guy or a gal?

there have been hindu gay weddings in the U.S. not many, but a few. im 16, but by the time im 25-30, a lot of ppl probably will have married.

i dunno. i find it wierd. scary.

I found a dimpled spider, fat and white,
On a white heal-all, holding up a moth
Like a white piece of rigid satin cloth--
Assorted characters of death and blight
Mixed ready to begin the morning right,
Like the ingredients of a witches' broth--
A snow-drop spider, a flower like a froth,
And dead wings carried like a paper kite.

What had that flower to do with being white,
The wayside blue and innocent heal-all?
What brought the kindred spider to that height,
Then steered the white moth thither in the night?
What but design of darkness to appall?--
If design govern in a thing so small.

- Robert Frost
I had a dream about a white spider once. And, come to think of it, I don't think I've ever even seen a white spider in my life. The dream was very vivid and the audio was exceptional. I was standing at the bottom of a driveway to a house that seemed familiar. All of my family including my extended family was showing up and the last car to arrive was my Aunt Lyn's. She pulled up and crashed into the other parked cars and got out as if nothing had happened. Suddenly I was in the attic and my parents were encouraging me to enter a small crawl space. I did.

Ahead of me I could see the exit of the crawl space. A large web covered most of it and a huge white spider suddenly crossed the web and dissappeared from view. I crawled into the room and stood up. The white spider was the size of a tortoise. I looked down at it as it rose up on its back legs revealing a face on its belly with a large gaping mouth full of square crooked teeth. It was smiling. In a funny, high-pitched voice it said, "Hi! All I want to know is what's your name?" Then I woke up and started laughing.

Is there a hidden meaning? What's with white spiders? And why would my parents want me to crawl in there with that thing? And why is my aunt such a poor driver?
