Dreams

In many of my dreams I am not myself. I have been different genders, animals, characters, personalities. The main theme is I am not myself. Even when I am supposedly "me". my personality is totally different.

Anyone else ever experience this?

What does it mean?

There is quite a bit written about dreams in the Bahai Faith....this is one note;

"The body reacts on the soul and the soul on the body. Dreams are due to various influences; fatigue, fear, etc., of the body reacting on the soul, also when the soul comes under an influence and reveals itself in a dream, is another; and the Holy Spirit influencing the soul, prophetic visions, an intimation from God to man in a dream. Three types of dreams: first the body influencing the soul; second the soul manifesting itself; third the Holy Spirit influencing the soul. But then we must be very careful, most of our dreams are the body influencing the soul. (May Maxwell, Haifa Notes, p. 37) Dreams

I have experienced what you have as well, except i cannot recall myself taking on the personality of an animal while dreaming.

Unfortunately i don't know what it means. But that doesn't mean i don't enjoy them :D

Your "what does it mean" question is one that could be explored with a psychologist because the meaning could be different for different people or there might be Jungian archetypes involved, it's not clear to me.

Lately I've been feeling that dreams happen when you fall asleep and brush against the "other realm"... I've always tried to connect it with reality without psychedelics.

It's a good teaching about how your consciousness is your only true existence. All the visible images and thoughts you experience in your consciousness is what was created for you to enjoy for eternity.

I have been thinking about that for a few days now, how everything is just consciousness. Been watching a lot of Deepak Chopra.

Philosophers have been getting those kinds of thoughts for thousands of years but since I've been used to testify to the knowledge within the main consciousness that we're all attached to, I have learned what the consciousness is and how it was created.

I have listened to videos by the various philosophers, astrophysicists, physicists, cosmologists, etc. but none of them know what the consciousness is. If you want to know, I can share this knowledge with you but only in private conversations. Otherwise, the members who hate this knowledge will have me banned.

I used to be conscious whilst going to sleep and the internal dialogue (mind chatting away to itself and thinking) became transformed into weird images, the connections difficult to imagine but somehow slightly intuitive like they were causally related to the thoughts and chatter.

Last nite I had a dream....
I was playing go with an old Chinese guy.
But the board was on a table so tall that I could hardly see the game.
