Dua Before Iftaar(Ending The Fast)

Recite the Supplication of 'Allahumma Rabba Nuril Azeem (below)reported by Sayyid ibn Tawus and al-Kaf'aimy. This supplication brings about great merit. The Holy Prophet recommended this dua to Imam Ali(as) and said that Jibreel (as) came to me and said," Whoever in the holy month of Ramadhan before iftaar recites this dua, Allah (swt) answers his prayer, accepts his prayer and fasting, grants his ten requirements, forgives his sins, removes his grief's, makes his heart at ease, grants his wishes, makes his deeds to ascend upward with the deeds of prophets and righteous saints and on the Day of Judgement brings him to HIS presence with his face illuminated like a bright moon."

بسم الله الرحمن الرحیم​

َاللّٰهُمَّ رَبَّ النُّوْرِ الْعَظِيْمِ وَ رَبَّ الْكُرْسِيِّ الرَّفِيْعِ وَ رَبَّ الْبَحْرِ الْمَسْجُوْرِ وَ رَبَّ الشَّفْعِ الْكَبِيْرِ وَ النُّوْرِ الْعَزِيْزِ وَ رَبَّ التَّوْرَاةِ و الْإِنْجِيْلِ وَ الزَّبُوْرِ وَالْفُرْقَانِ الْعَظِيْمِ

أَنْتَ إِلٰهُ مَنْ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَ إِلٰهُ مَنْ فِي الْأَرْضِ لَا إِلٰهَ فِيْهِمَا غَيْرُكَ وَ أَنْتَ مَلِكُ مَنْ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَ مَلِكُ مَنْ فِي الْأَرْضِ لَا مَلِكَ فِيْهِمَا غَيْرُكَ أَسْأَلُكَ بِاسْمِكَ الْكَبِيْرِ وَ نُوْرِ وَجْهِكَ الْمُنِيْرِ وَ بِمُلْكِكَ الْقَدِيْمِ

يَا حَيُّ يَا قَيُّوْمُ يَا حَيُّ يَا قَيُّوْمُ يَا حَيُّ يَا قَيُّوْمُ أَسْأَلُكَ بِاسْمِكَ الَّذِيْ أَشْرَقَ بِهٖ كُلُّ شَيْ‏ءٍ وَ بِاسْمِكَ الَّذِيْ أَشْرَقَتْ بِهِ السَّمَاوَاتُ وَ الْأَرْضُ وَ بِاسْمِكَ الَّذِيْ صَلَحَ بِهِ الْأَوَّلُوْنَ وَ بِهٖ يَصْلُحُ الْآخِرُوْنَ

يَا حَيُّ( حَیَّاً ) قَبْلَ كُلِّ حَيٍّ وَ يَا حَيُّ( حَیَّاً ) بَعْدَ كُلِّ حَيٍّ٬ يَا حَيُّ لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ اغْفِرْ لِيْ ذُنُوْبِيْ وَ اجْعَلْ لِيْ مِنْ أَمْرِي يُسْرًا وَ فَرَجًا قَرِيْبًا وَ ثَبِّتْنِيْ عَلٰى دِيْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ عَلٰى هُدیٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ عَلٰى سُنَّةِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَلَيْهِ وَ عَلَيْهِمُ السَّلَامُ

وَ اجْعَلْ عَمَلِيْ فِي الْمَرْفُوْعِ الْمُتَقَبَّلِ وَ هَبْ لِي كَمَا وَهَبْتَ لِأَوْلِيَائِكَ وَ أَهْلِ طَاعَتِكَ فَإِنِّيْ مُؤْمِنٌ بِكَ وَ مُتَوَكِّلٌ عَلَيْكَ مُنِيْبٌ إِلَيْكَ مَعَ مَصِيْرِيْ إِلَيْكَ وَ تَجْمَعُ لِيْ وَ لِأَهْلِيْ وَ لِوُلْدِيَ الْخَيْرَ كُلَّه وَ تَصْرِفُ عَنِّيْ وَ عَنْ وُلْدِيْ وَ أَهْلِيَ الشَّرَّ كُلَّه أَنْتَ الْحَنَّانُ الْمَنَّانُ بَدِيْعُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَ الْأَرْضِ تُعْطِي الْخَيْرَ مَنْ تَشَاءُ وَ تَصْرِفُهٗ
عَمَّنْ تَشَاءُ فَامْنُنْ عَلَيَّ بِرَحْمَتِكَ يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ

In the name of Allah, the Beneficient, the Merciful

​

O Allah, the Lord of the magnificent light, and the Lord of the high Kursi( i.e. knowledge or power ), and the Lord of the overflow sea, and the Lord of the great intercessor and the brilliant light, and the Lord of the Tawrat (Torah) and Injil (the original Gospel of Jesus) and the grand Furqan(criterion, Qur'an).

You are the God of who are in the heavens and who are on/in the earth; there is no god in them except You.

You are powerful over who are in the heavens and who are on/in the earth; there is no powerful in them except You.

You are the owner of who are in the heavens and who are on/in the earth; there is no owner in them except You.

I beseech you through your great name and your brilliant superior being and through your ever existing kingdom.O Ever living, O Self–Subsisting; O Ever living, O Self–Subsisting; O Ever living, O Self–Subsisting.

I beseech you in your name through which everything illuminates, and in your name through which the heavens and the earth illuminate, and in your name through which the people of all times set on the right path, from the foremost to the last.

O, the Living [who was alive] before any living, and O, the Living [who will be alive] after any living; O, the Living who there is no god except You. Peace be upon Muhammad and his progeny and forgive me my sins, and make my affairs easy and the reappearance near, and keep me firm in the religion of Muhammad and the progeny of Muhammad and [keep me] on the guidance of Muhammad and the progeny of Muhammad and on the sunnah of Muhammad and the progeny of Muhammad, peace be upon Him and Them.

Make my deeds lofty and accepted, and bestow upon me like you have granted your pious and obedient servants.

For surely I am a believer in you and trusting in you, turning repentantly to you, with my destination towards you, while you gather for me and for my family and my parents all good and turn away from me and from my parents and my family all evil. You are very compassionate and very beneficent, the originator of the heavens and the earth. You give the best to whom you wish and turn away it from whom you wish. So, by your mercy, grace me; O, the most merciful of merciful ones.

As-salamu alaikum to all brothers.
As a member of the Ahl al-Sunna wa al-Jama`a i would start my dua in the ff manner.
Firstly
I start by sending salutations and blessings on our Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaho alaihe wasallam).
0, Almighty Allah! by 'Thy Mercy, send Thy Peace and
blessings on Muhammad (Sallallaho alaihe wasallam),
the best of Thy creation and our Chief. and on his
Family and on his Companions. Thou art the Most
Compassionate of all the Most Merciful ones
Second.
i thank Allah Ta ala for giving me iman.
Not everyone has this gift of iman and this gift is only bestowed by Allah Ta ala on those whom he favors
.And so i make Shukr for the gift of iman.
Third.
I ask Allah Ta ala to guide us to the straight path (Ihdina assirata almustaqeem).
Millions of people claim to be in Islam but are misguided and have deviated from the straight path.
Fourth
I ask Allah Ta ala for my Worldly needs.Every individual has different Worldly needs.
Some wants a Mercedes Benz,others a Jaguar,some a bicycle and others a rickshaw or some may want a wheelbarrow.
The point is be realistic in asking for your Worldly needs.
Ask for as much as you wish because Allah Ta ala's treasures are beyond your dreams.
Fifth
I ask Allah Ta ala to give me a peaceful death and make my grave a place of paradise.
I ask Allah Ta ala for Janatul Ferdaus in the afterlife.
Six.
Read the ff dua taught to us by our beloved Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaho alaihe wasallam).
All praise be to Allah, the Lord of Worlds, praise up to
the (countless) number of His creatures, matching His
pleasure, weighty as the weight of His Throne and expansive
as the ink (needed) for the writing of His
Words. 0, Allah! I cannot comprehend the praise due
to Thee. Thou art as Thou praisest Thyself. 0, Allah!
send Thy peace, blessings and prosperity upon our
Chief, the Ummi (not taught by any one), the Hashimite
Prophet Muhammad and upon all the Prophets
and Apostles and upon Thy favourite angels. 0, Allah!
forgive us and our brethren who preceded us in faith,
and place not in our hearts any rancour towards those
who believe. 0, our Lord! You are Most Compassionate
and Most Merciful. 0, Master of the Worlds! forgive
me and my parents and all believers and Muslims,
whether male or female. Verily, Thou art the Hearer and Granter of our supplications.
'0, Allah! have mercy upon me, so that I always
abstain from sinful deeds as long as I am alive, be kind
to me so that I do not toil in vain pursuits, and bless
me with solace in that which pleases Thee. 0, Allah!
the Originator of Heavens and Earth, Master of Glory
and Honour, Lord of such Majesty, attainment of
which cannot even be conceived. 0, Allah! the Most
Beneficent, I pray in the name of Thy Majesty and Effulgence
of Thy Countenance, to impose upon by heart
the memorizing of Thy Book, as Thou hast taught me
the same, and grant me such a manner of recitation as
pleases Thee. 0, Allah! the Originator of Heavens and
Earth, Master of Glory and Honour, Lord of such Majesty,
attainment of which cannot even be conceived!
0, Allah, the Most Beneficent I pray in the name of
Thy Majesty and Effulgence of Thy Countenance, to illumine
my vision with the noor of Thy Book, bless my
tongue with a flow in its reading, and through its blessing
remove heaviness of my heart, open my mind, and
wash away (the sins of) my body. Certainly there is
none except Thee to support me in the cause of truth,
and none except Thee can fulfil this desire of mine.
There can be no safeguard (against evil) nor any power
(over virtue) except with the help of Allah, the Most
High, the Most Great.
Seven.
Ask Allah Ta ala to forgive you if you erred during your fasting and accept your fast.
Finally.
Send salutations and blessings on our Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaho alaihe wasallam).

the best of Thy creation and our Chief. and on his
