Anyone a fan of East Asian film here? Directors like Takashi Miike of Audition and Ichii the killer fame, Kurosawa of Seven Samurai and Ran, Park Chan-wook of Oldboy and Joint Security Arena fame are some of my favorites and of course I can't forget Kung Fu flicks notably from the films starring Jet Li, Jackie Chan and Donnie Yen.

Meh. The best Kung Fu film is Five Deadly Venoms followed by Kid With Golden Arms:

This consist of primarily all the movies I watch for many years.

I highly recommend people to see Donnie Yen's performance in Wu Xia(Or Dragon in America).
It is an amazing and suspenseful film.

To be perfectly blunt I am not a fan.

Neither am I. The older films just seem poorly made, no plot line, bad translations, and bad acting.

Now granted, East Asian techniques have improved a lot over the last few years but I rarely find anything that's worth watching. Movies from China tend to be laden with propaganda, for instance. The few Japanese movies I've seen were very hard to follow.

That said, I did like find Rush Hour 2 and 3 to be kind of funny, but those were American movies so they may or may not count.
