I know very little about South African politics today, but if all your big parties suck, you share something in common with U.S. politics. Anyone running on the slogan "Make South Africa Great Again"?

We do have this in common though, but for different reasons. And I would rather have the democracy and the political system we have over Americas.

There isnt a party who outrightly says that we must make South Africa great again I think, because to do that with its implications is politocal suicide, but we do have a few loud people outside of politics, even in certain non white areas, who say that everybody lived better under Apartheid than we do now. Which is insane, but I get where they are coming from because our country is very emotion fueled and people are largely uneducated, especially of our history.

I wish you well, and I hope things go well for your country. I know South Africa has a lot of resources and potential, so I'm rooting for you.

We seem to be having our own bit of insanity here in the States. Many people seem to prefer the stability that comes with law and order, but there are those who seem to revel in chaos and lawlessness. Some hearken back to the "good old days," which were really the "bad old days," though some people like to idolize the past.

Thanks! The sad thing about us is that our government is plagued by corruption. We have electricity loadshedding and other things that are destroying our economy. Our wealth and resources majority of the time go to the minority or foreign industry. And the main opposition serve a minority and chase american economic and social ideals.

People love idolizing the past and making as if the people speaking about the issues that actually happened are the problem. I sort of keep up the pop-politics of America that is pushed on social media and the dichotomy is insane. Is it the people who are extremely pro-police and guns who are revelling in chaos and lawlessness?

To some extent, they seem to be pushing for that. Although it's probably more woven into the culture itself. There's always been a kind of quasi-anarchistic "outlaw" sub-culture which has manifested itself in various ways.

There does seem to be sort of an anarchistic strain. These days I hear of Anarcho Capitalism as promoted by Michael Malice . Socialist anarchism I understand. I dont get Anarcho Capitalism because the end result is what they are fighting against. It is strange that in America there are conservatives who are anti government and anti big corp, thinking that they are outlaws who are against the system, yet what they support would in the end make an extreme form of governmental corporations. Its so weird.

It is rather strange, when you think about it. Anarcho capitalism seems something akin to organized crime, like the Mafia commission or the drug cartels. But their wealth and power rested solely within government indulgences, so in essence, they're kind of parasitic, always biting the hand that feeds them - which eventually led to their demise.

I think this is the exact situation that the video game Bioshock explores. The philosophy of the city of Rapture in the game was that of an independent anarcho capitalist state based off Ayn Rands philosophy. It shows that where anarcho capitalism innevitably leads to is corporate states, extreme inequality, inmates running the asylum, gross criminality, inhumane experiments and unmitigated desires. It is unsustainable without regulation.

So I find that they do bite the hand that feeds them, especially when they object to corruption and they dont realise that that is the logic conclusion of their philosophy.

Yes, I've heard the phrase "ivory tower hoodlums" to describe people of that ilk. They're up so high and away from street level that they forget what they're sitting on. Or they take it for granted that it will always be there.

What is different about them that makes them preferable to you to the other parties?
Their leader is a defector from one of the big parties and he defected because he said they had an old guard mentality when it comes to politics. This party is pretty forward thinking in terms of modernising our society and seeking to the needs of the poor and isnt bashing other parties to gain votes or is ethnic in nature. And they are made up of young people. I dont like this idea of having old people as leaders because they are out of touch with modern society.

Our other parties are dumb. They dont try and fix our society but want to gain cheap points by pointing out others flaws and they dont provide solutions. Their philosophy is of low level and they are idiots. The only people I dont think are like this are the ANC because even though they have a hell of a lot of problems, there have been lots of improvements under them. They have just declines ethically and I dont believe they can move our country further forward.
