Not the least bit surprising. So much for being a champion of free speech.

Here's another articule that's slightly older but relevant:

By "free speech absolutist" he meant that he wanted to be able to say whatever he wanted and be absolutely free of any consequence or restraint.

In other words, it wasn't free speech as a principle that he supported. It was self-indulgent irresponsibility. I think many of the people who support him are in the same camp, so I doubt this will deter them too much.

Not the same thing.
I went to the link and found this;

Companies like Google, Facebook, and Netflix -- and consumers -- have benefited from these kinds of Internet fast lanes for years.

I guess if a Conservative does it, the sky is falling, but if a Lefty does it, aren't they clever. Now you guys know how it felt during the Twitter election interference of 2020.

On the other hand, if you need to go to CNN, how hard is it to open another page and type CNN. It good to get outside and play.

The only people who seem to have a beef with the 2020 election are those who should have gotten over the results a long time ago.

Do those "lefty" companies throttle specific sites that they personally don't like?
