Anyone have a scientific explanation as to how time could go infinitely forward and backwards?

No idea. How do you measure the infinite?

How can you know if you have eternal life? What if you just live a really long time? Longer than others.

Im not gonna get weird about a simple thing imo.
Yeah.
When we get into things that I have absolutely no grasp of, like that topic, I pretty much just have to admit “I have no idea”
Even more so, the concept of going BACK eternally.

Correct.
But wouldn’t that existence be outside of time?
I see the two as vastly different.
But I hear ya. You see infinite space as oblitering things like the past and future all together. Infinite space is quite powerful. However I see the past as a real thing

Not sure why there needs to be an 'explanation'. That particular parameter, in many theories, is unbounded. What further 'explanation' do you want?

You ask 'how' it can do so. What is preventing it? It seems to me that an explanation would be more in order if time is NOT unbounded.

I'm not sure why 'infinite space' would 'obliterate' anything.

And even if the past is a 'real thing' (whatever that means in this context), why does that prevent an infinite past or future?

The more I think about it the more likely it is that infinite space exists outside of time. But it still doesn’t change my belief that it has an ending.

`Time` doesn't exist, `time` doesn't move....we do !

There is no `past`, memories are just pseudo-images and echoes of your own memory.

In other words: there is no `now`, past is gone, watch out for tomorrow, kiss `now` be-gone.

Time doesn't exist anymore than a inch or a foot, IMO. Not a popular position but it deals with a number of paradoxes which would otherwise exist.

A day is how long it takes the earth to rotate back to its starting position. A day doesn't flow anywhere. It is a measurement of change.

I suppose the question would then be, how can the universe infinitely change?
