EV plant in Democrat controlled Michigan pledges allegiance to Communist China through workers retreat.

It's another example of a leftist turncoat governer that willingly approved this for the nation to see.

Hopefully Michigan won't turn into yet another Peoples Republic like New York and California has done.
You clearly missed where it said even Dems were opposed to it.

Some are, and I'm very proud of any Democrat opposing it.
There's still the issue that it seems only RW sources like Fox carrying this story. Those like Reuters and AP have nothing.
Makes me wonder if it's like the heavily edited anti-abortion videos that get reported as fact but contain zero truth.

There's absolutely nothing of this in local news.

Note the plant is taxpayer funded.
This is ridiculous. Of course workers in China are going to pledge allegiance to the Chinese Communist Party which is the govt of that nation whose citizens they are.
Let me get this correct. You think citizens of Saudi Arabia should not pledge allegiance to the Sultan and the Islamic law of their nation because they work in an American oil company outlet there? That US based companies should not open factories at nations whose ideology differs from that of US or should have the ability to force its workers in that nation to pledge allegiance to US constitution rather than their nation's constitution??

What kind of idiotic news article is this and why are you even linking it? This is subpar.

No it isn't subpar nor idiotic.

It's outright alarming at how much of our country is actually being sold out to foreign interests that can do nothing but further harm this country more and more.

Particularly with Communist totalitarian regimes.

If you are ok with US companies setting plants in Saudi Arabia, China or Latin American countries, you have to be ok with their companies setting up shops and plants here...or buy your sports teams.
Did you think only the Western countries have the right to spreading commercial enterprises and associated influence and soft culture to other shores?

But espionage concerns aside, having Chinese people pledge to their national party is as much news as US people pledge allegiance to their constitution. If this specific company is involved in political espionage then sure, stop them. Otherwise global trade means that your nations shores are open to companies of all nations to set up shop as long as they do not violate the laws of the land....the same laws that apply to multinational US companies in other nations.

This is a factory in China. The workers were natives of China. The event happened in China. They pledges allegiance to their govt which is the Chinese communist party. This is a deliberate attempt to mislead the readers of this news article.
Of whom those same workers come back now to this done deal factory in Michigan.

Even the local news stations are carrying this along with the turncoat governer slipping it in covertly behind the Michigan citizens backs.

I think your problem is a conspiracy theory mindset. Conservative media plays into fearful/paranoid thinking on purpose

The US is already bought and sold to the highest bidder.

I'm not against keeping an eye on China and the types of political soft power moves they make. Actually I think we should be more proactive with it actually. I just tend to disagree with the right wing political ideologues on how we do so.

But I would also like to make the point that if you are worried about being sold out to foreign interests then are you saying some things shouldn't be for sale? Such as ...political power? Because my biggest gripe right now is the fact that people can just dump insane amounts of money into politics with no repercussions. That means China can do it just as easily as oil barons. IF we can get on the same page with that and overturn citizens united perhaps we can make a little bit of progress.
