Even Mainstream Conservatives Now Talk Of Violent Revolution

Subduction Zone

What made it worse is the willful and intentional destruction of people's livelihoods jobs and places of business because of Covid the Democrats did not want to let that go while Republicans all but begged after covid waned and weakened, to start letting off restrictions but of course the Democrats didn't care and they just watched as businesses and people's jobs went under and created a hell of a lot more problems then the virus itself did to this country's infrastructure and beyond.
LOL! How did that ever happen?

I need to remind you of which party actually suffered more from Covid due to ignorance and denial of the sciences. It was not the Democrats.

Of course laughing about it says volumes.

Good day.
Oooh -- nice way to try to duck what was actually being said. The plain fact is very simple: more Republicans died from COVID, or suffered long-term illness, than Democrats. And the reason is very simple: Democrats weren't burdened by conspiracy theories that frightened them out of their wits.

China is like that too. Save their lives, treat them like garbage.

So now you're saying giving people vaccines to protect them from illness and/or death -- for free -- is the same as treating them like garbage?

I will simply never understand the conservative mind! Too full of fear.
I don't know the leftwing mind either. Save their lives, but destroy everything else in the process. Too full of power.

Not as bad as Democrats outright refusing to lift restrictions when just about the rest of the world did and caused untold damage to people's lives and means of support.
Yes, just like that. Worse even, in some places.

That's what most countries were doing to flatten the curve so that hospitals and medical facilities wouldn't be overwhelmed and collapse, which they were anyway in many places. Remember India? Italy? China?

This was a novel pandemic and most leaders followed similar protocols, across the globe. Because it's all we had at a time where we knew very little about a deadly virus.

As much as I detested the lock-down here in Ontario, I really found it puzzling that many on the American right seemed to think, early on, "if we don't know much about it, let's ignore it."

As people frequently say after accidents or disasters: "Thank God nobody was killed. Things can be replaced, lives can't." Apparently, you aren't one of them, preferring stuff to lives.

I've lost everything I had several times during my life; one of the consequences of growing up an orphan in institutions rather than homes, and the time it took to resolve my issues from having been terribly abused -- almost to death -- as a child. I'll tell you this, I'd sooner lose everything again than be killed unnecessarily before my time, if there were a way to prevent it. I suspect many people, with the possible exception of some Republicans, feel the same way.

Come to think of it, isn't that what so many of the hated refugees are doing? Giving up everything they have to get somewhere that they can have a hope of living a full life?
