Even Mainstream Conservatives Now Talk Of Violent Revolution

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
I said that I read Fox News "Sometimes" - hey, I read Al Jazeera sometimes too. And I literally never read or watch Tucker Carlson.
I like Tucker and miss Rush Limbaugh. If for anything but the banter.

But I also like Air America involving Randi Rhodes who seems to all but dropped off the radar and miss the late Ed Schultz, whom I regarded as the left's version of Rush Limbaugh.

All of them are interesting albeit with a grain of salt and some pepper too.

It was on fire when I laid down on it.

Hey, I can't help it but I like James Carville from the New Orleans area. I mean, he's likeable!

As must have been pointed out by now, revolution is the very opposite of conservative in nature. It is radically retrogressive.
"Conservative" in the context of politics means
something different from other contexts.
They can indeed pursue radical agendas.

Many lobby on behalf of like minded folk.
This isn't fundamentally wrong.
I favor gun rights.
I favor bodily autonomy.
Many spend money to lobby in opposition.
So it goes.

So it went. Now we're living in an era of death threats and power grabs.

Visiting is useful to see how many Christian conservatives think.
Or pay attention to what Christians who put Christ ahead of power are seeing

PASTOR BETHANY: A Sinister Impulse is Taking Over Our Churches

While I am deeply grateful for your friendship and our sibling-hood, I feel I must warn you about what I see in our country regarding Christian Nationalism. There is a sinister influence taking place in our churches and this country and it’s affected us Christians the most.

For some real right-wing nostalgia, I recall Morton Downey Jr. and Wally George. Those guys were totally off the deep end.

Here's a clip of what it was like.

This was from the 1980s, but MAGA in the making.

Meanwhile the lincoln project lays out what Trump/MAGA wants to happen. "It can't happen here?" WRONG

And, oh yes, the liars and hypocrites now infesting SCOTUS - I have to wonder if they're being paid by Putin or just by mega billionaires who have yachts as big as Titanic. As far as I'm concerned, ignoring SCOTUS is a patriotic act.

Like that nice lady Amy Coney Barrett, who declared: “No one is above the law.”

And Samuel Alito: “No person in this country is above the law.”

And John Roberts: “No one is above the law under our system, and that includes the president.”

And Neil Gorsuch: “No man is above the law.”

Brett Kavanaugh quoted Federalist 69 about how presidents should be “liable to prosecution and punishment in the ordinary course of law” and added, “I do not think anyone thinks of immunity. And why not? No one is above the law. And that is just such a foundational principle of the Constitution and equal justice.”

Well, that was then, this is now...

I've observed both using violence.
Which is worse?
That varies with the times.
Magas currently aspire for the Gold Medal.
The right is worse.
The Left typically attempts peaceful protest. When violence does occur, it's usually precipitated by police attempts to control or take charge, plus the left targets symbols, the Right don't hesitate to attack people.

No religious beliefs
Mascot?
He's their leader sent by God.

Oddly they both think they are using the other to get what they want.

Trump adopted all kinds of "religious right" objectives, like banning abortion, to get them to vote for him. He doesn't really care one bit about it, just the votes.

The Religious Right know perfectly well that Trump is the kind of person that they have been railing about for years, but now that they see him as their pathway to imposing their religious rules on the rest of us, suddenly he's being used by God.

The irony would be funny if it wasn't so frightening.

Trump is of course the result of Democrats fault for decades pushing people around and telling them what they can and cannot do in thus country and are responsible for open attacks on freedom and liberty.

People are just now surprised that talk of civil war is happening?
The irony meter just exploded.

I see more balance over the decades.
