Ever had a loved one who was murdered?

I met two guys recently that had loved one's murdered.

One had a daughter who was murdered by either her boyfriend or her husband.

The other guy had a son get shot.

It sounds like a very painful thing if you have a loved one who gets murdered.

Not only will you have the pain of losing them, but anger or hatred towards the person who did it.

Anger and hatred is a torture in it of itself, so to have that combined with the loss of someone you are close to, has to be hell.

How did you cope with it? Were you able to forgive?

Jesus was murdered by sin, the sin of all humanity, yet He offers forgiveness to everyone. I think those who refuse His loving forgiveness will be dealing with the torment of their own self-anger and hatred for eternity for rejecting such a gift.

I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior.

It doesn't change the fact that God wanted his son murdered. Jesus himself said that no one takes his life from him. Jesus asked his father to take the cup from him, but his father insisted that his son be crucified.

Two points... Christ could have walked away. As he himself said, " No one takes my life from me." Christ said he freely gave it up.
Is the death penalty when given for a crime murder? Is the act of murder to take anothers life against their will?
Christ did not have to die he chose to. My nephew who was murdered at 21 years of age was not given the choice to walk away from his killers and live.
If we are discussing murder and sacrifice then Christ has to come under sacrifice.

Since the Father and Jesus are One and had the same purpose to save humanity then on God's part it was not murder. It was a sacrifice to save others and as you have indicated Jesus said no one took His life because it was His plan. Nevertheless, on the human side it was murder because Jesus was an innocent man who was crucified due to human hate and sin.
