Classifications are for reasons. Humans are labeled as apes, mammals, vertebrates and animals depending on what grouping your looking at.

Birds build nests.

Beavers build dams.

Gorillas have been known to exhibit basic tool use in the wild.

Crows are very intelligent and are known to create tools to achieve a task.

So the discussion still remains hung up on deciding if we humans have evolved more so than the rest of the animal kingdom.....

As if we are attempting to deny our own humanity!......really?

Evolution versus creation and we are headed to what?
Denying anything Greater?
We humans are top of the line life form?
and here we are making comparisons to other mammals as if there is no difference!

I say Man has indeed diverged from the rest of the animal kingdom.
(and here I am, having to state the obvious.)

I further say, that divergence happened suddenly.
For several thousand years discussion has been attempted to explain how.

I find it remarkable that on old piece of scripture has one plausible account...
written centuries before we 'apes' could see the technique as possible.

How is it remarkable that an ancient account appears to reflect perfectly an almost complete ignorance of biology - as you would expect?

Except for the fact that there is no mention whatsoever of aneasthesia, surgery, cloning or genetic manipulation.
