Oh the outrage! It's clearly 2 different audio tracks, the questions and words are different. GHWB was right to cancel his lifetime membership with the NRA. The NRA is using fear and politics to make money off it's members. BTW, democrats aren't anti-gun. Tons of democrats carry.

Oh gee, a new thread dealing with guns from esmith-- how unique!
It's a hot 'bombshell' topic today in conservative media land. You'll notice they are trying to spin this into how 'liberal lame-stream media attacks pro-gun America."
Propaganda is powerful on the weak.

It appears that another example of the misrepresentation by the media has occurred. In this case it was the prime-dona Katie Couric editing a segment to bring discredit on the pro-gun side. Guess Katie doesn't realize that everything is taped and available.
The story

You must be wrong.
I heard on NPR that there is no left wing media bias.

Most media is moderate and in the middle, which is why republicans and democrats watch it. No one is more biased than Fox. It's political tabloid 'news' 24/7. All day it's politics.

Well I decided I would go with this one instead of the State Departments Inspector Generals report on the Hillary.
Of course neither one would have been believed by some on this forum....they believe that there is no liberal bias in media and the Hillary can't do anything wrong.

Oh what the heck lets get tytlyf and metis really fired up

Hey tytlyf notice this is CNN so don't go ballistic on Fox for this one.

What if left leaning ideology is actually morally superior to the right and the media isn't biased, they are just following the natural changing moral zeitgeist of our culture?
That's just a "what if" but I've thought this in regards to my own beliefs.
Historically it seems society tends towards "progressive" beliefs, and I admit that a few of my beliefs are more right leaning than left, and sometimes it makes me wonder, "is the media biased, or are my beliefs just wrong?"

What "media" are you talking about? There is no monolithic media. You're on the Internet - there's a site for everyone's views. If you're talking about cable news, Fox News and MSNBC are the most overtly biased - conservative and progressive, respectively. Fox is #1 in the news ratings and MSNBC's ratings have been in the toilet for years. The other channels are more or less centrist/non-partisan.

Pretty good point.

And some of us on the Left have guns and don't put the entirety of our safety upon them or believe it secures our freedoms.

Fox News could claim the same thing.
Zuckerberg could too.

Is this a universal tendency?
Not for all.

You undoubtedly don't seem to remember but I have on quite a few different occasions criticized her for the terrible decision on using a private server exclusively, plus I have said on many occasions here at RF that I have never been a Hillary fan.

Therefore, I would only get "fired up", but in a positive way, if Bernie would have gotten the nomination. I'm glad he's staying in though, especially since we do not yet know what the FBI investigation may conclude.

esmith, there's no 'there there' with the email problem. RW media has been pulling your chain for years. There won't be an indictment. There was no classified material being intentionally sent. Just like BENGHAZI, it's a phony scandal.

So do you disagree with the State Departments Inspector General's report, who was appointed by Obama by the way.

Just to appease you, which I can't understand why, here is a article from Mother Jones. Do you consider Mother Jones RW media. Of course that is a dumb question. Anyone that disagrees with you is RW media.

No, I don't disagree. This isn't new. The practice has been going on long before Clinton.

The edit did them a favor. Did you hear the answer that was given immediately? "If they're not in jail (terrorists or felons), they have their basic rights to get a gun."
