"Flavored liquid nicotine used in open tank systems can continue to be sold, according to two administration officials who have been briefed on the plan. It is an important concession to vape shops that have thrived alongside the booming e-cigarette business in recent years."

Everything is political.
It's especially so with such things with both positives & negatives.

They are also not banning flavored THC cartridges...

Interesting how this "ban" is not going to slow down, let alone stop, the counterfeit cartridges....

Here's hiw this one ends: pudding brained, knee across the isle send people to the black market and sources with zero oversight, regulation, and accountability, more people get sick and die (popcorn lung may even become a legit concern), while knee jerking pudding brains continue to confuse combusted plant material (and a myriad additives) and heated liquid vapors, causing further problems here while people in other countries use e-cigs to help get themselves quit smoking amd ween themselves off nicotine.

Well good thing making it at home is easy and simple with the right equipment.
Except many people do not realize how nicotine can very easily and very quickly become toxic and go from a little bit, which has little to no harm with some benefits for some, too amounts that are too much, poisonous, with the potential to cause illness and death. And you also have to be very aware at how easily skin can absorb nicotine.

This whole ban craze that is going on does not address the issues.
They are nothing more than a cop out to make the ignorant think something useful is being done.

Yup. And I am alarmed by the lack of reporting the illnesses and deaths have been linked to counterfeit pods, particularly THC pods. It's even o the CDC website, and the BBC is the only outlet I've seen include that. Everybody else is so hellbent against vaping (those who think vape juice has all the **** that cigarettes do amd think liquid vapors are smoke) they ignore that, bringing the noble crisade against tobacco into the realm of unreasonable hogwash.

Apparently, the e-cigarette makers are not paying the necessary bribes to the FDA.

And just think how people were lauding them as a safer alternative.

They are a safer alternative to cigarettes.
However, they are not 'completely' safe like JUUL reps were telling high school students during seminars.
Which is part of th reason for this ban. They campaigned to get young people hooked on this product by claiming that it was safe. The reaction may be an overreaction but one brought on by the major players in the industry.
