I am well aware of humanities early attempts at flight, some of which actually make me laugh, but in the end the laugh was on me because, we're flying.

Without religious connotation, it is that part of a fact that makes the fact attractive in the first place.

I know what the bible states it as. What definition are you using? I asuumed, (perhaps wrongly so) that you were using the religious definition, which is essentially belief with insufficient evidence. Yhe word does have more than one definition. The English language is funny that way.
