Famous Criminals

As an eternal student I will stay here in Law for a long time. I will do research in criminology and law in this place. I wonder if you have some clue about famous criminals and their juridical case. O J Simpson trail was shown in media. Rubin Carter case was made into a song. And Jack the Ripper is still mentioned in music. To pinch out guidelines for this thread I would like to know if you heard of famous criminals, their name?? their case? and their verdict? What media wrote about them? how you would judge if you were the judge?

Martina Hedlund. A man was dating a Martina Hedlund. Martina kidnapped and depraved the freedom of him. She exposed him to systematic terror on pot and other drugs. He took her to Christiania (a haven for addicts in denmark) and was later drown out of his mind and became violent because of the castration she did on him after buying the drugs in Christiania. She accused him of rape. The court agreed with her, and sentenced the man to rehabilation home. Authorities chose to marry the couple. He chose to die for her, and was in winter 2005 diagnosed braindead. His life was restored by a miracle but because of the braindead diagnos she are allowed to marry the man she love because she became a widow.

Armin Meiwes (Der Metzgermeister) is one I think is interesting, because it involves consensual sexual cannibalism and murder. He was originally found guilty of manslaughter and sentenced to eight years, but then retried, this time with the sexual motivation, and found him guilty of murder and sentenced him to life.
