What fascinates your? Does anything make you truely captivated and thrilled? How airplanes fly, or water maybe? Or those damn doorknobs?

The thing that fascinates me the most is how far humanity has come in 200,000 years. From such simple beginning of hunting and gathering, we've changed into a power species of 6 billion, with worldwide communication, languages, politics, trains, buses, plains, zoos, it's incredible, and I just get taken back somethimes thinking that we are just a super-evolved primate. Fascinating $#*(.

I'd have to agree that how far humanity has come ranks way up there among the things that fascinate me, Saw. I'm also fascinated by how far we have NOT come from our roots. That is, how much we still are, in psychological ways, a hunting/gathering species of ape.

Went to the beach the other night to see the sea turtles laying their eggs. That in inself is fascinating, but there is something else even more so. We are not suppossed to touch them, because they are on the protected species list, but they have phospherous moss on their backs, and when you rub your hand across their shells, your hand streaks with an eerie glow.

IT IS SOOOOOOO COOOL.

Something else that totally amazes me is octopus and cuttlefish. They are such shapeshifters, it is truly incredible to watch.

I've always wanted to see turtles lying their eggs! I always saw it on the discovery channcel, but I want to see it in real life! That's so cool, I can see the mental picture now. :)

What fascinates me is how is that i think we are hitting the curve on an exponential graph of technology. Did you know that the processing power of computers has doubled ever year since 1965? Did you know that it expected that we will be genetically engineering our kids by 2010. creepy and fascinating stuff

Ceridwen made me falter, with her kittens - I just love the young of most creatures; but i guess it doesn't take much to 'wow' me - I often look at the trees, bushes, flowers - and think how incredible it all is.........:)

You should let them clean your teeth. I almost swallowed one when I gagged.

LOL...it was really disturbing though, someone didn't know what they were doing and some "biological liquid" squirted across the table.

I too am very fascinated by fire. From a candle flame, bon fire, or my own homemade explosives and flame effect powders, fire is just cool. I love to sit out side on a warm summers night, play some traquile, meditive music, and have a small bonfire going, maybe have some salva divinorum for a deeper thought. That deep feeling of inner peace and relaxation is something money will never buy.
