Fascism - Why...

But even if you consider the other weapons available to them, they still would not have stood a chance trying to stand up to the City Police; let alone the US military.
Security was completely overwhelmed that day, if you recall. That's how they managed to get past the barriers and inside the building relatively quickly and easily.

True. But if their intention was to get rid of the other 2 branches of government and install Trump as dictator, they would have needed to do a lot more than temporarily over-running security, they would have had to secure positions in a way that they could defeat not only the police, but the US military. Sounds like they were not ready to battle the US military.

I'm pretty sure I've explained Trump & co.'s plan to you on more than one occasion.
It involved obstructing the peaceful transfer of power, sending the vote back to the states and the fake electors, causing a constitutional crisis which he thought would allow him to declare Martial Law and call in the military.
This is all documented.

"Interviews with committee members and a review of the panel’s information requests reveals a focus on emergency powers that were being considered by Trump and his allies in several categories: invoking the Insurrection Act, declaring martial law, using presidential powers to justify seizing assets of voting-machine companies, and using the military to require a rerun of the election.
“Trump’s invocation of these emergency powers would have been unprecedented in all of American history,” said J. Michael Luttig, a conservative lawyer and former appeals court judge."

I don't remember disagreeing with that, my argument was against the guy who said they wanted to install Trump as dictator which would include getting rid of the other branches of government, so Trump can have total power.

But that does not mean it all has to happen at once. If you can install an unelected person in the Presidency that is one big step closer to that dictatorship. We have seen that happen before.
Still; you can't install an unelected person to the presidency without going through the City police and the US militaries.

Some just can't get it into their head that if the results of the 2020 were negated, our representative democracy would be done and probably replaced by a dictatorship or an oligarchy. This should be rather obvious.

The results of the 2020 election were never in jeopardy of being negated.

It is virtually impossible to know that with any certainty even though I would hope you're correct. However, ...

I disagree; I am 100% certain.
There were guns in the area of the rally seen by the SS that were a walking distance away.
If they were interested in taking over the country, they would at least have guns in their hands; not walking distance away, and even that wouldn't be enough.

Don’t you think they wanted to? How would you suggest they get the guns past the magnetometers? There was a reason they had the guns a few blocks away.

Trump wanted the magnetometers removed. If that had happened they would have had all the guns they needed.

They would have needed an army capable of taking on the US military. They did not come with such an army so that tells me democracy was never in jeopardy.

Call me cynical but I think most people in most places would be all for fascism as long as the fascists were on their side.

Although very few of the people benefiting from it would call it that.
My side is the side that has checks and balances instead of one guy making all the decisions regardless of whether I agree with his decisions or not

End of discussions, as you're not willing to even listen to the many people who know what Trump & Co were up to. Such self-imposed ignorance is a waste of time for us to even try and correct.

I’ve listened to and responded to everyone who spoke to me I’ve ignored no one. You don’t have a right to demand everyone who responds to you agree with you, this is a discussion forum not an echo chamber, if you’re gonna get upset because someone has this audacity to disagree with you, you’re at the wrong place.
Good day sir I hope you find the echo chamber that suits you
