favorite prose writers

Martha got me thinking about prose and I wanted to ask who some of yall's favorite prose writers were so I and others on here could check them out.

My fav fav is Mark Leyner. He writes comical prose with titles like

"my cousin my gastroentlogist"
"i smell ester williams"

he is unique and complete devoid of any thing resembling seriousness in his works.

for erotic prose i am a big fan of a.s. byatt who wrote the now famous novel possession and the famous prose piece, "angles and insects"

I like a lot of william blakes prose too espcially his piece "o' sampson"

anyone got any recommendations?
