Favorite Scene In A Movie

Earthling

David Henson
Though the movie itself wasn't my cup of tea, I could barely watch all of it, my favorite scene of all time in a movie would be the scene below with Michael Caine and Sandra Bullock. Half masticated cow rolling around in your wide open trap.

I can't find a clip, but when I first saw Yojimbo I was going nuts because I knew I had seen the movie before, even though I hadn't. When Sanjuro was recovering from a beating in a hideaway I finally saw that the plot of the samurai film was exactly the same as that of A Fistful of Dollars. The two movies are so similar that one could show alternating scenes of them and still get the story across.

It has to be when Ripley saves Newt from the alien queen.

The depth of this scene isn't fully clear if one watched the theatrical release of the movie.
In the extended cut, we see that Ripley is grieving over her own young daughter growing
up & dying of old age while Ripley was in suspended animation after escaping the aliens
in the first movie, Alien. In this sequel, Ripley has become Newt's surrogate mother (her
parents were killed by the aliens),. Ripley has been protecting Newt, & has just viciously
exterminated the alien queen's babies (still in pods) with a flamethrower. Alien queen is
pi$$ed, & seeks revenge by killing Newt. This scene is the face off which both movies
have been leading up to.
Yes....it's a chick flick....all about the women....but it's great anyway.

There are so many truly wonderful and inspired scenes to pick from. My favorite scene is from Helen Mirren's Elizabeth 1 where she is telling her two councilman that women are capable of acts of great violence such that they would astonish the world. The power with which she projects the lines is spell-binding. This is NOT the scene, but is from the same incredible movie. The scene I am describing is way more intense.

So instead of posting the scene you want, you posted a less effective one?
Failure!
(I know this because I tried to find a scene I wanted to post from another
movie, but only found everything else.)

This is a long scene which describes the inception & eventual success of the Hula Hoop.
If you're a fan of the Coen Bros comedic style, Carter Burwell's music, & their cinematography,
you might enjoy.....

Btw, capitalism's detractors should watch the whole thing.
You'll love the ending.

Here's a shorter scene from The Hudsucker Proxy.
In it our hero is being conned by a reporter investigating him.
I love the observations by the 2 cabbies.
