And in answer to the question, crispy, with eggs and hash browns if available. Otherwise with pancakes and real maple syrup.

I prefer my bacon on four feet, running about the woods and leading a happy pig life.

Nudelauflauf (though it should really be schinken, smoked bacon's a good substitute here). For those of you who don't have a clue what that is, you make alternating layers of cooked pasta (something like fusilli), cooked, diced bacon and grated cheese in an oven proof dish, starting and finishing with pasta. You then poor on a sauce made of soured cream, beaten eggs, salt and pepper, top with more grated cheese and bake it in the oven till the sauce sets and the top goes golden brown. Childhood comfort food for me.

Well, it is German - not exactly noted for avoiding the saturated fat are we? (Not that I'm completely of German stock). I wouldn't advocate eating it every day (certainly not, as it wouldn't exactly fit in with my fast periods would it?), but it does taste wonderful. It's particularly good with a nice salad. The Bohnensalat I make with green (French) beans put into a simple vinegrette whilst still warm and then allowed to cool down works well.

I like plain Morningstar Farms veggie bacon :) Good stuff...
I love most of Morningstar Farms products, but I'm sorry, the veggie bacon is horrid, imo.

Just give me a good ole BLT sandwich. My mom says that's what she basically subsisted on while she was pregnant with me so I was predestined to love them. :p

I like the new bacon that's pre-cooked and you just heat it in the microwave for 10 secs or so. You just heat it up, so it's not cooking in all that grease, it's already been drained away, so it gives the illusion of being a little healthier.

I don't particularly care for pig products all that much but I do like a BLT every now and then...and...I think bacon is best wrapped around scallops.

Try this .....cook a jumbo size egg plus one more yoke over easy....4 slices bacon ...and a couple slashes of worcestershire sauce between 2 slices of wheat toast. This is one of my favorite sandwiches and I don't like eggs except like this.
