Favourite Scripture quotes?

Put your favourite or daily Scripture or philosophy quotes here. :)

As bidden by Baha'u'llah, I try to read Baha'u'llah's Writings once in the morning and in the evening, and I like to post them on Facebook. However, sometimes I can not put the whole quote on Facebook if it is too long... so here's another place to post them! :D

"O SON OF SPIRIT!

The best beloved of all things in My sight is Justice; turn not away therefrom if thou desirest Me, and neglect it not that I may confide in thee. By its aid thou shalt see with thine own eyes and not through the eyes of others, and shalt know of thine own knowledge and not through the knowledge of thy neighbor. Ponder this in thy heart; how it behooveth thee to be. Verily justice is My gift to thee and the sign of My loving-kindness. Set it then before thine eyes.
"

"O SON OF BEING!

With the hands of power I made thee and with the fingers of strength I created thee; and within thee have I placed the essence of My light. Be thou content with it and seek naught else, for My work is perfect and My command is binding. Question it not, nor have a doubt thereof."

"For hate never ceases by hate at anytime, hate ceases by love. This is an unchangeable law"- Dhammapada

"When you make the inside like the outside, and the outside like the inside, and the above as the below, and you make the male and female one and the same, so there is no longer a distinction between male and female, when you fashion an eye in place of an eye, a hand in place of a hand, and an image in place of image, then will you enter the kingdom"- Gospel of Thomas

"O SON OF SPIRIT!

I created thee rich, why dost thou bring thyself down to poverty? Noble I made thee, wherewith dost thou abase thyself? Out of the essence of knowledge I gave thee being, why seekest thou enlightenment from anyone beside Me? Out of the clay of love I molded thee, how dost thou busy thyself with another? Turn thy sight unto thyself, that thou mayest find Me standing within thee, mighty, powerful and self-subsisting."

-- Hidden Words I:13

"O SON OF LIGHT!

Forget all save Me and commune with My spirit. This is of the essence of My command, therefore turn unto it."

-- Hidden Words I:16

The Beautitudes are especially inspiring, for me:

"O SON OF SPIRIT!

Ask not of Me that which We desire not for thee, then be content with what We have ordained for thy sake, for this is that which profiteth thee, if therewith thou dost content thyself."

"But Rabshakeh said unto them, Hath my master sent me to thy master, and to thee, to speak these words? hath he not sent me to the men which sit on the wall, that they may eat their own dung, and drink their own p1ss with you?"
2 Kings 18:27 (KJV)
Ive always wondered why god had his scribes make note of Rabshakeh's words here. What import do they hold for the believer?

"Peter asked: "Master what is sin?" Jesus replied: "There is no such thing as sin except when you do things such as mingle in adultery, and you call that sin"- Gospel of Mary

"Jesus saw his disciples performing their daily obligations one day and he laughed. They asked him: "Why are you laughing at us?" He answered: "I am not laughing at you, but because you think your god will be pleased by this." Then they became angry with him. Jesus said: "Now you are angry because your god who is within you is getting angry at my words." They said to him: "Master, you are the son of our god!" Jesus replied: "Why do you pretend to know who I am? Truly I tell you, none among this generation shall know me."- Gospel of Judas

Happy Valentine's Day, everyone!!

"Love is heaven’s kindly light, the Holy Spirit’s eternal breath that vivifieth the human soul... Love is the light that guideth in darkness, the living link that uniteth God with man, that assureth the progress of every illumined soul. Love is the most great law that ruleth this mighty and heavenly cycle, the unique power that bindeth together the divers elements of this material world, the supreme magnetic force that directeth the movements of the spheres in the celestial realms. Love revealeth with unfailing and limitless power the mysteries latent in the universe. Love is the spirit of life unto the adorned body of mankind, the establisher of true civilization in this mortal world, and the shedder of imperishable glory upon every high-aiming race and nation...

O ye beloved of the Lord! Strive to become the manifestations of the love of God, the lamps of divine guidance shining amongst the kindreds of the earth with the light of love and concord."

-- 'Abdu'l-Baha

"O SON OF THE WONDROUS VISION!

I have breathed within thee a breath of My own Spirit, that thou mayest be My lover. Why hast thou forsaken Me and sought a beloved other than Me?"

Let's see, I do rather like the following from the Sikh scriptures:

Do not say the Vedas, Bible, and Qur'an are false. Those who fail to contemplate them are false.

"O SON OF MAN!

Upon the tree of effulgent glory I have hung for thee the choicest fruits, wherefore hast thou turned away and contented thyself with that which is less good? Return then unto that which is better for thee in the realm on high."

-- Hidden Word I:21

"O SON OF THE SUPREME!

To the eternal I call thee, yet thou dost seek that which perisheth. What hath made thee turn away from Our desire and seek thine own?"
