A dear atheist friend of mine, half mentioned this site to me earlier today, and I thought i might check it out.

For some background. I am a 19 Year old Anglican Christian. I live in the midwestern United States and I am Conservative but not closed minded. I can disagree with you without hating you.

I may or may not stay, but I'll look around a bit before I decide.

I stumbled on this forum just before New Years. Your atheist freind is not a minority here. There are people who post that flying sausers and green Martians are watching over us. Have fun but tell it like it is.

Well, that's a start, but you use the word "hate" which surprises me, because hate is a bit extreme. In my book, tolerance and acceptance that others have a complete right to believe in wghat they chose to believe in is nearer the mark.

I hope you like us enought to stay around, and I look forward to reading your posts.:)

Just so you know, I'm not as big on debate as I am discussion. So I will probably be perusing the Comparative board rather than the debate boards.

I believe Christ to be The Way, the Truth, and the Life, but am facinated with religion in general. (Even fictional ones like the Jedi/Sith :p)

Hello John, welcome to RF. I would encourage you to stick around, it helps you develop more informed arguements and defences of the faith delivered to the saints. If you are rooted and grounded in the truth that is.

Actually, Jedi is a real religion. It's a religion based on mysticism and a combination of many older eastern religions.
