You prove my point. You say that awareness of racism isn't racism, but then you say those that acknowledge that whites have been targeted and assaulted merely for being white are racist.

Also, you keep gibbering about Fox News, Hannity, Limbaugh, etc. but I never watch any of that ****. Who here actually does? Do you just randomly toss those names about whenever anyone presents something that doesn't mesh with your worldview? In fact, most of the place from which I get my news (BBC, CNN, NBC, etc.) are often accused of having a liberal bias. You claim there is some sort of wacky right-wing conspiracy, whereas the reality is that most people simply watch the reports and form their own conclusions.

I mention the RW media because I looked up the knock out game thing and discovered that is where this particular fad of anti-black hysteria appears to have originated. I also looked up violent crime statistics, so I know for a fact this particular story is baseless.

Just a reminder, all violent crime, including crime against whites by blacks, is decreasing in the US. Also, anti-black assaults outnumber anti-white assaults by four to one.

No. Black people can be racist against other people of color and other black people when they help to uphold the institutions that oppress them. Same with women, women are sexist against other women when they oppressed other women.

I can assure you, there are indeed many black people who hate white people. I've even met a few of them. They can be unpleasant people, much like how racist white people can be, or yellow, blue, brown, or whatever color of person is racist.

I'm gonna just throw my hat into this discussion. As a black man I will say that anyone can be racist. I have met old black people who tell me no white person can be trusted and that white people who enjoy hip hop or "talk black" are just pretenders, this really ****** me off. I don't care what color you are its your culture that I look at. For instance I am more cautious around country raised white people who wear shirts that say "the south will rise again"

As for Ferguson perhaps my view is biased (due to police abuse acted on me) but I do not trust the police officers who were very quick to hide officers and take an absurd amount of time to give answers. Also on the release of the video the Department of Justice warned the police not to release it as it would most likely start new riots. They ignored it and placed it anyway with many backhanded comments and misdirection. The video say nothing about if that truly is him or not, merely that he was a suspect. I was a suspect in armed robbery on the vague description "light skinned, average height and has an afro" had other officers not caught the man who did it an hour after the announcement I may have been placed in holding or worse end up like Brown. The police are too well armed for these types of situations and treat civilians like enemy combatants instead of citizens. Also for whoever said people are looting their are also many black protesters DEFENDING stores from looters. But I given my 2cents (and more). If you need me to clarify anything, ask.

You raise a great point. There seems to be a tendency to pretend the protests are about one incident, one victim, etc, which makes it seem like the people of Ferguson are over-reacting - being outraged before all the facts are in.

I honestly don't think that's what is going on here. Protesters were holding signs with pictures of several young black men gunned down by police who faced no consequences for the killings. Six at least.

We would love to ignore the fact that being targeted, harassed and roughed up by police for no reason is a routine fact of life for urban young black men. It's the rule, not the exception. Outpourings of public anger like we see here didn't build up overnight, and they really have nothing to do with whether or not the victim stole a box of cigarillos before the cop gunned him down in the street.

Also, when did I never suggest that racially motivated black on white crime is more common than racially motivated white on black crime? The constant distortion and dishonesty gets rather tiresome.
