"Final budget result delivers $15.8 billion 'back-to-back' surplus due to lower spending"

We Never Know

Australia;
'The federal government has delivered two consecutive surpluses, the first in nearly two decades.

Its final budget position for the 2023 financial was $15.8 billion, a $6.4 billion improvement on its May forecast.'

Source: Final budget result delivers $15.8 billion surplus due to lower spending

As usual Labor doing a fantastic job of governing our budget in my view.

You are better off than the US.
You only have $1.9 trillion government debt. A total debt of $9.7 trillion.
It goes up $10,000 around every 8-10 seconds. A lot slower than the US debt goes up.

Yeah, who is getting screwed? Someone is, and it's probably the Aussie citizens.

Also, national debt is mostly a smokescreen. Who is ever going to call in that debt? And how are they going to enforce payment? It's not really a debt, it's an investment. Call is what it is and the whole debt nonsense disappears.

Yeah, I think they’re doing okay. Tough times with curbing inflation and the world economy. I think they are offering as much support to people as they can
