I tend to try as many wierd foods as I can (particularly unusual meat dishes) and found that I quite like Ostrich

I hate threads like these. Reminds me of what I'm Missing. Ya, I've got Anosmia, so no smelling or tasting.

Lamb. Normally I hate lamb, you just can't make it taste right for me. But the Turks managed to do so by cubing it and putting it on skewers. Turkish bar-b-que shish-k-bobs. I still like beef and pork much better but at least I can eat lamb like this without turning green.

Lamb tips, trip fat, lay out a line on wax paper over tin foil
,sprinkle with lots of Kosher salt and fresh ground pepper, then lots of Oregano, then cover with chopped Vadalia onions, then tight roll the wax paper and tinfoil so you have a "tube" of lamb. Put in the refrigerator over night or for a few days, the onion will almost cook the meat. Take the lamb out with whatever sticks to it and put it on the grill, you will thank me, many times over.

Can't brain. Has dumb.
I have it, i just had an amazing idea (probably the vegemite on toast i just ate) im starting a religion that worships vegemite. It's real and by real i mean you can actually use your 5 senses to back this up, you dont have to imagine it, or just have 'faith' that it is real. It's good for you buttloads of vitamin B6. It's not judgemental, it wont get jealous and strike you down if you feel like peanut butter on your toast. It gives non stop and only asks for a small donation every now and then.
This reminded me: Peanut butter with a bit of vegemite on it

so good!!

Definitely. I only had these a few times in my life, but every time I tried ostrich it was delicious!

Now it isn't fantastic, but surprisingly jalapeño jelly was palatable. I thought it was going to be vile, but it wasn't.

Depends Upon My Mood..
Buffallo .I've only ever had it ground .One of the best burgers I've ever tasted. First time I had it was a few years ago at a local butcher shop that also has a small dining area whre they serve up burgers and sausage..etc..

I think it also helped though that the cattle is raised right here in Dallas and they are fed properly and allowed to roam as well as they are not pumped up with all the hormones ..And the burger I ate was so fresh the meat had never been frozen.

Delicious!

Jalapeno jelly? seriously? I saw onion ice cream once and didn't try it. Wierd meat is one thing, but wierd vegetable based things? No way

If you liked Ostrich, you should look out for kangaroo as well, that's nice. A bit like strong liver but a little more gamey if I remember correctly.

Foods you never realized were tasty

Witchity Grubs and wild pepper is an unusual but brilliant taste, like spicy woody peanut butter.

Kangaroo meat is probably one of the most flavorsome meats in the world (low fat and cholesterol).

Should introduce them to Africa to feed the starving millions in arid famine areas.

Sea Urchin Roe is another unknown delicacy.

Cheers
