Are we certain as to what should be defined as 'alive'? Which is the illusion, this tiny glimpse of existence, or the time spent in a dust cloud swirling into a newly formed star system?
In my opinion, both are.
Our time here on Earth as separate unique individuals ... and the swirling clouds of gas and dust present in the cosmos are both transient in nature. Their creation and destruction is a never ending repetitive process.
Since this phenomenal world is constantly changing, it is not accepted as the Ultimate Reality and instead considered illusory by the followers of the Advaita school, to which I belong.
By illusion I dont mean to say that the reality that we are all familiar with is completely false.
By illusion I simply mean that our vision of the world is not complete and that there’s more to reality than we superficially see.
That which I am made up has experienced both, so I've been led to believe. If you claiming there is no contrast or differentiating between the many forms the many atoms representing my composition will experience, I would be hard pressed to agree with such a sentiment.
I believe that I was never really "made up" by the atoms or elements.
The atoms and elements that are responsible for the multitude of forms (with all its distinctions and uniqueness) have instead emanated from me (The real infinite me) and rests "within" my infinite Self.
Ofcourse I have no way to prove this yet but this is what the enlightened masters wants us to believe. :=)
