Rapture isnt a belief in all xian paradigms, and theres disagreement about what it means. Scriptural debates or biblical DIR is probably ok as well,@Jesu disciple
who is this thread meant for? Same Faiths Debates is specifically for people of a particular belief (or non-belief) system to debate. Are you intending it for Christians? If not, why quote the Bible?
Rapture isnt a belief in all xian paradigms, and theres disagreement about what it means. Scriptural debates or biblical DIR is probably ok as well,
Not necessarily
Didn't make sense
The same word, "taken" or "took" is written at Matthew 17:1 Matthew 20:17 Matthew 26:37Explain verses

Therefore?..And, what I said was the issue of rapture isn't there in eastern philosophies.
The rapture isn't ever going to happen. It is some silly thing made up by the born again christians.
The same word, "taken" or "took" is written at Matthew 17:1 Matthew 20:17 Matthew 26:37
I think at Matthew 24:40-41 it just means that a person is accepted to be taught by him. Matthew 18:20 To be taught by him, learn from him and live that way is to be taken into God's family. It happens all the time. Matthew 12:48
Luke 17:26-37 says the same thing about the days of destruction; yet ends slightly differently, which then indicates what it is referring to.Explain verses

Matthew 24:40 παραλαμβάνεται http://biblehub.com/text/matthew/24-40.Hm, did you do a word comparison? In English, the words aren't the same in those verses. Are those verses merely illustrative of the idea that you're trying to present?
Interesting, but that can't be right because those left are said to be left "alone". No God with them?Luke 17:26-37 says the same thing about the days of destruction; yet ends slightly differently, which then indicates what it is referring to.
Luke 17:37 They, answering, asked him, “Where, Lord?” He said to them, “Where the body is, there will the vultures also be gathered together.”
This is then interlinking with the day of destruction prophesied in Isaiah 34; where it lists all the ravenous animals set to be removed, and has the same phrase vultures gather (Isaiah 34:15).
So the tares are gathered, and burned; not the other way around; the meek inherit the earth.
Where does it say 'No God with them' or 'left alone'?Interesting, but that can't be right because those left are said to be left "alone". No God with them?

Wouldn't say it is selective, based on what Paul put in 1 Thessalonians 4:17, it implies the good will be 'taken up' to avoid the destruction.Another example of selective interpretation?
The bible has been rewritten many times by a lot of people. Is there anything in the Bible, that you don't think is made up?
NASB TranslationWhere does it say 'No God with them' or 'left alone'?
It says left, that isn't a bad thing; here will be like Heaven on earth, to reign with God in the Messianic age.
