Fox News/Tea Party Railroad??

Reaper of Conversation
You may google those names for the controversies.
(I'm surprised you aren't already familiar with them.)

I could, but then again I don't know what this has to do with anything at this point. If it's relevant to the conversation, maybe you could just give me a summary of what you mean.

If it isn't clear now, then it likely won't ever be. We've been there before.

What occasion was that?
The time I heard it. If you want evidence, I'll never be able to find it. But it's funny
how many people I know sincerely believe they heard Palin say Fey's line from the skit.
Of course, my point is still that many of what are called lies are really just mistakes.

Yes, I believe that the talking head on NPR believed what he was saying.
If Fox ran a videotape which turned out to be doctored, I believe they did it by mistake.
I believe that ABC was merely mistaken when Rather's impropriety was broadcast.
I believe the NYT was mistaken when they ran Jayson Blair's fraudulent pieces.

I find sloppy work far more common than outright fraud.

What about Brietbart, who made the video. Was he mistaken too?

I'm not familiar enuf to say....I haven't even seen it. But I wouldn't give him
the benefit of doubt to the same extent that I would a news network. I also
had no criticism for the gal in question, since I initially hadn't heard her side.

Done here.

You believe they played it by mistake?
What do you believe they thought they were playing?
A two-and-a-half minute speech, presented in context and in its entirety?

Hell, I blame him less than Fox. He openly admits what he is. Fox claims to be a news channel.

It's hard to tell whether Revoltingest is the most naive creature to ever post on an internet forum, or just willfully ignorant.

Both perhaps. I really don't like dissing someone when I just don't have enuf info, & yes it is willful. When I first heard of her racially
charged remarks, I reacted negatively, but I decided that I hadn't heard enuf to trust that reaction, so I ventured no criticism. Plus,
her remarks seemed more about discussing her personal issues than actual discrimination. I'm glad I kept my mouth shut.
I'm perfectly willing to rip someone a new one when I'm confident they deserve it though.

All news is 90% perspective & 10% facts. We just don't notice it so much when we agree with the agenda.
That's why I prefer sources which infuriate me....I start feeling uncomfortable if I start feeling comfortable with news.
I don't want to start developing "trust".

Hi Auto,

Hello, the ones accusing someone of being racist were conservatives, but why let a little thing like the facts stop you?

Genuis, it was liberals that forced her to resign before having the facts.

Hi Auto,

Lesson learned: Never listen to conservatives.

Or maybe another lesson for liberals: wait and figure out the facts before doing ANYTHING.

Don't you see a pattern here:

1. Obama's foot in mouth situation regarding the Skip Gates arrest.

2. Liberals claiming that Congressman Lewis was called the N-word.

3. Liberals force Sherrod to resign before watcing the whole tape.
