If you want less bias you have to get your news from outside america on america. Because they have a substantially less invested interest on reporting the shady or disastrous goings on in America.

Like the "fiscal cliff" situation we had a few years back. American news called it we were standing on the edge of the cliff, and the BBC reported they fell off of it. Like when they had to literally shut the government down for 2 weeks because we had no money to pay them. That's not on the edge of it, that's fallen off.

I disagree that all American news outlets are equally biased. I don't think there's any science that supports that. But I do know of multiple studies that show Fox News viewers are less accurately informed than viewers of other media outlets, and even less accurately informed than people who pay no attention to any news sources. To me, that suggests Fox News is indeed a propaganda outlet.

I don't get cable TV, so I don't watch Fox News. However, I do sometimes listen to the Fox News radio affiliate - mainly because the music stations have gone downhill. The local classic rock which I've listened to since high school has gone down the drain. In the mornings, they don't even play music; it's just a talk show with mostly fluff and entertainment news.

The morning guy on the Fox News radio affiliate is local, but he seems like he's a Sean Hannity wannabe. He's a piece of work.

A few years back they had another guy who was kind of the same, yet I remembered when he was a DJ on the classic rock station many years earlier, yet his personality and demeanor were quite different. I think he tried his best to be a right-wing commentator on the Fox station (he sounded like he really needed the job), but I don't think he really had it in him. He was clearly faking it, and he didn't really last. Poor guy.

If you think any of the six companies that control 90% of the media in the US aren't propaganda outlets, you are probably getting your news from one of the six.

If you give someone a monopoly on communication, the owners trying to shape public opinion to their whims is the only logical outcome. If you think any communication corporation is immune to such a corrupting influence as that degree of control... well, you're probably getting your news/propaganda from that outlet.

Well, the internet is breaking up the communication monopoly at the very least. Huzzah!!
