Free philosophy courses

Here is one about critical thinking -

Critical Thinking: A Free Course | Open Culture

Cheers!
I'm thinking critically about critical thinking courses. I haven't been able to find research supporting the idea that the courses offered are actually effective in teaching the subject. Are you aware of any?

My suspicion is that these courses engage in what I call "the educator's fallacy."

1. Create useless facts about the topic;
2. Teach the student those useless facts;
3. Test the student on those useless facts;
4. Assume that the student has learned something valuable about the topic.

Is there solid research proving my suspicion wrong? If there is, I haven't found it.

I am not sure if I can help you with that - I mainly studied science at school - was not interested in philosophy or anything of that nature.

Here's one site I found myself - make up your own mind - as if you need my "permission" to do that! :)
