Just wanted to pass this info on to anyone, like myself, who might have missed this going on in the news. Its another example of a religious group trying to gain control within the government so they can tell everyone who lives here what they can and can't do. Here is a sugguestion to you controlling pin headed inbread monkeys. Leave the preaching and brain washing where it belongs, in your churches. That way the only people being damaged by your crap will be you and your children....

Mormons:
''We ask that you do all you can to support the proposed constitutional amendment by donating of your means and time to ensure that marriage in California is legally defined as being between a man and a woman,'' church leaders say in the letter.

''Our best efforts are required to preserve the sacred institution of marriage.''
California Mormons -- there are more than 750,000, according to a church almanac -- have heard and heeded similar calls from their leaders before.
In 2000, a letter from the pulpit asked members to give time and money in support of Proposition 22, a ballot measure defining marriage in California as between one man and one woman. It passed with 61% percent of the vote.

The LDS church also fought same-sex marriage legislation in other states during the 1990s. As recently as 2006, it signed a letter to Congress seeking an amendment to the U.S. Constitution that would define marriage as being between a man and a woman.

Greetings

Firstly, what is your stance on this issue? I am personally 100% happy (For the little it is worth) for any number of consenting animals can do what they want. If that means marriage, that means marriage, but what is your view?

Second, I have some friends that are mormon and they are often very patient people (Purely by being my friend, they have confirmed this). I would say that I share approximately none of their religious beliefs, but in no way would I describe them as:

, just because they dont share my opinions. Not that they need sticking up for, im sure they are perfectly capable of sticking up for themselves, but I think this is a very unfair and offensive comment.

I am, however, a big supporter of secularism, and believe in in your main point, despite how you word it.

GhK.
