So this is way to small for my family, but looking over the concepts and tech I think it has a lot going for it. The reality of prefab has never really deviled the quality.
Thoughts?

That's really cool. I like all the windows. It is big enough for me but not big enough for me and the 8 cats.

Have you ever seen the floating houses over in Europe? I forgot which country they were built in.

Yes, the first one! It would be heaven on earth to be able to float around in my house, as long as there was room for the cats.Do you mean these?
Those are student homes in Copenhagen
These are also built from containers in the same area as the others.
I think thats the key.Looks really nice, but I wonder what the price would be vs. a traditional home.
Yeah houseboats are pretty cool I thinkYes, the first one! It would be heaven on earth to be able to float around in my house, as long as there was room for the cats.
Especially when there is lots of water to float around on....Yeah houseboats are pretty cool I think
If you are in USA check out KOA camping cabins. You can rent one of these and try out the concept of a prefab home. The one in the spoiler is one of the newer large types with a high loft bed and a lower bedroom. These, too, would be too small for your family but still interesting for testing the concept.Thoughts?
Let me guess, you are thinking this ain't you?I like thinking outside the box
about alternative housing.
I prefer to use the perfectly good ground under me feet.Let me guess, you are thinking this ain't you?
I saw an article that I hadn't read yet, about elon musk making these pre-fab tiny homes, and the picture of it looked cool anyway. I don't know what you want to debate, but the subjects that concern me are rising costs and property rights / allocation. Housing prices have obviously skyrocketed over the past 50 years, but housing has become more and more pre-fab. So in other words, pre-fab technology didn't make anything cheaper, and that is extremely conspicuous.
I think that what go more scarce, was viable property. And that's why prices skyrocketed. Though it's a lot more complicated than that, regulation plays a part as well.
