In your opinion, after the world runs out of fossil fuels will the transition to going back to living without take many lives?

Side note: That's if you believe in such things. Personally I believe the Lord has other plans.

No, I just think we need to keep things going long enough for science to find other sources of renewable energy to fill the gap
There exists a lot of different sources of energy in the universe. We just need to figure out how to access it.

Fossil fuels are not the only possible energy source. Solar, wind, wave, nuclear, geothermal, etc all are potentially part of an energy economy that can work.

What do you mean "going back to living without take many lives?" Humans are obligate heterotrophs. We must kill to live. At no point have humans been able to live without taking lives, with or without use of fossil fuels.

We're doing it now. Use of renewable energy is increasing all the time. Fusion power is just now getting to the point where it can start to be considered as an energy source.

There are many sources of information on this topic.

Depends on the time line. We can't go to no fossil fuel in a decade, that would result in an economic and cultural collapse. When we have time to acclimatise, there is no big risk.

When we stop fighting over fossil fuels we will start fighting over other resources. Like food and water.
