Calm down dude. Bottom line is, even if he died from heart failure, or whatever else you'd like to assert, the fact of the matter is that in all likelihood he would NOT be dead if he'd not been put in a choke hold. You implied that the ONLY reason he died was because he couldn't breathe. Hypertensive cardiovascular disease can cause heart failure . . . . and death, particularly under stressful conditions. .
Yup, but I have no doubt that you weren't in a position where you could have repeatedly said "I can't breathe."

I can't breathe is like tapping out in a wrestling/MMA match, i.e., if your hands are tied-up of course.I thought this was all caught on video as well.
FYI you cant breathe is your brain urging you to find a position of breathing ASAP because you are deprived of the right amount of air to be able to keep breathing. Just a thought.
"don't touch me" as resisting an unlawful arrest? And had he not waved his hands and told the police...don't touch me....
He might still be breathing.
Well cops do, or at least they should and we're told they do. So what's your point?I don't have expertise in subduing people.
It would be reckless to guess at it.
Not up to the citizen at the time of arrest."don't touch me" as resisting an unlawful arrest?
Harsh. Not up to the citizen at the time of arrest.
You get told ......you're under arrest......it's over.
Don't touch me is then resistance.
He stopped talking meaning he stopped breathing or passed out then after that they should have resuscitated him from having brain damage or lack of oxygen to the brain. This was according to the ME's report. You implied that the ONLY reason he died was because he couldn't breathe. Hypertensive cardiovascular disease can cause heart failure . . . . and death, particularly under stressful conditions. .
When you're fighting for your life you could say "I can't breathe" till you stop talking.Yup, but I have no doubt that you weren't in a position where you could have repeatedly said "I can't breathe."
The least he could have gotten or should have gotten is involuntary manslaughterAre you really implying that the police deliberately killed Garner?
Totalitarian. Isn't this country supposed to be against such things?Harsh.
Harsh.
IOW, "comply or die":What's the matter people?...no one ever explained the concept of arrest?
The nice officer will say.....you're under arrest.
Your rights will be explained to you.
Your denial in the face of the arresting officer means nothing.
Tell it to the judge.
IOW, "comply or die":
"Comply or Die" policing must stop
Are you happy with this system, or do you think it should change?
No one is saying that he should not have been arrested (at least, I haven't noticed that).Break the law....go to jail.
You're under arrest.
I see this as an arrest with an unfortunate ending.
It could have been better.
Big guy could have said....yes sir.
