Oops, I just took a closer look at the original post. I must say that I think the idea that homosexuals are trying to force Christians to take part in sodomy or homosexual sex is incredibly stupid. I mean, if it is true then where exactly is the evidence?

I'm guessing what they mean by "forcing Christians to participate in sodomy" is that Christians are being forced to treat homosexuals like people (by, for instance, not refusing them service, by recognizing their legal rights, etc.)... The audacity of those sodomites, eh?

Awfully subjective an expression, that one.

What would an "attempt at forcing someone" actually be? It seems to me that it is mainly in the eye of the beholder. Straight (yet respectful) hitting could qualify. So could begging.

And yet, I believe also that it is in fact an accurate expression, because from appearances he is not complaining about anything more serious than the acknowledgement of the presence of homosexuals in his store.

We should not underestimate the weight of this exact barrier; many people are still uneasy with admitting that they may know and interact with gay people at all, no matter how non-sexually that may be.

Many worldviews still have no provision for dealing with people who tell you upfront that they are gay. Those people feel pressured into dealing with a reality that they were counting on never having to accept; quite a few were in fact humiliated out of their original acceptance while being raised.
